For example when you calculate the ago of a dinosaur bone, you should get consistent results within a acceptable error bar using different dating methods. The fact that many religions exist and do not coherently point to a single god is already a poor case of proof. There are other things to proof you can conjure up but i only have 11 chars left
@Mandragara thing is, up till now we cannot prove that god does not exist and neither can theists prove that there is no teapot deity in space circulating mars. Current evidence suggests strongly that it does not exist. But then again, the burden of proof should not be ours to bear. It should be the thiest's burden to prove to us that there is a god. The "Evidence" that i mentioned previously are some of the points that make us question the existance of god.

But I also did mention that current evidence strongly suggest that there aren't any gods. By that I mean that I don't believe in gods. So that puts me under the atheist category. Nah a cosmic creator is a theory. A theory to explain what happens in black holes and before the big bang. Not a "oh it's God's will" theory. Just some form of a creator that would branch off into different sub theories. I mean there's only two main possibilities. Creator or "it just happened".

@Mandragara Numerous.For one the world is not 6000 years old. When we talk about proof it should be verifiable by other alternative methods. For example when you calculate the ago of a dinosaur bone, you should get consistent results within a acceptable error bar using different dating methods. The fact that many religions exist and do not coherently point to a single god is already a poor case of proof. There are other things to proof you can conjure up but i only have 11 chars left

@Mandragara thing is, up till now we cannot prove that god does not exist and neither can theists prove that there is no teapot deity in space circulating mars. Current evidence suggests strongly that it does not exist. But then again, the burden of proof should not be ours to bear. It should be the thiest's burden to prove to us that there is a god. The "Evidence" that i mentioned previously are some of the points that make us question the existance of god.

But I also did mention that current evidence strongly suggest that there aren't any gods. By that I mean that I don't believe in gods. So that puts me under the atheist category. Although I will say that I'm a rather mild one.

The two sides were arguing different things. When religious people pray, they do it for their own emotional comfort, but prayer doesn't help in any physical way. The atheist never addressed the point of the question, "what do atheists do in a crisis for emotional comfort?" I personally remember that I am human and a product of evolution. Every fear and pain I experience is proof that I am alive. And it is comforting that fear and pain themselves are adaptations for survival. They give us life.
