  • the big ten has easily the best RB's in the country. Mainly by UW's clay ball and white

  • i was talking about backs that played in the Pac 10 in 2009 only. you really can't debate the fact that the Pac had the best backs in the nation last year. i even left out Jacquizz Rodgers...the best of the group and arguably the best in the nation. that's already 9 backs that will play in the NFL or already are...and i didn't even name Barner, Grigsby, Stanford's new starters, any ASU back, or any UCLA back.

  • Who's #16 at 1:21 what position is he

  • @R6highwayrunner The starting Quarterback Scott Tolzien

  • great game john clay is a great running back but that shows you how good the ohio state d-fense actually is i give credit to wisconsin but ohio state did their job

  • you understand that John Clay wouldn't even be a top 7 back in the Pac 10, right? maybe not even top 10...

  • evidently the best backs in the pac 10 dont do much against OSU's defense either

  • funny you say that...all USC backs in 2008 smashed on OSU's defense. in 2009 they didn't do as well..but a true freshman's first start on the road allows you to key on the backs. they still did decent.

    Oregon's backs averaged 4.7 on 15 carries, 9.1 on 7 carries, and 7.2 on 5 carries.

so...yeah. I'd still take Best, McKnight, James, Gerhart, Blount, Vereen, Stafon Johnson, and Polk over any Big 10 back. not a knock...those guys are just amazing.

  • @eKriZZLe so you will take them over beanie wells, john clay, shawn greene, rashard mendenhall, eddie george, archie griffin(only back to back heisman winner)? all but 1 has been to or is still in the nfl, cuz hes a senior now, plenty more tho

  • they were a big letdown vs purdue ima cry now like a little whimp

  • If your old enough to have watched the 5'11" soph Rex Kern just destroy the minds of defensive players, coaches and TV sports producers who never knew where the ball was & then watch Terelle, one dirty secret no one wants to admit becomes very obvious. He will not succeed as an NFL QB and he is wasting his carreer in college playing QB. Highlight reels show he needs to be looking up field, and running the ball (or receiving it) and making defensive players fall down. SAD!!!! oh well!!!!!!!

  • College coaches are more interested in winning. Theres no legit backups--2 walk ons & a freshman whose was just recruited cuz the Buckeyes needed a 4th QB. The freshman was not highly recruited at all. Best backup would probably be Joe Bauserman but they say he has interception problems & doesnt have nearly Pryors mobility. You really trust our OL yet to protect a traditional QB anyway? but Tressel did get a pretty good QB in the 2010 class. maybe next season if pryor continues to falter.

  • My point was, I told insiders my opinion that he was not top national QB material before he came to OSU. Targeting him at QB instead of a more suitable role was a mistake. A more developed team leader who could really move like a top ten national team QB moves should have been searched for. Being a great scrambler in HS seldom translates to being a great running QB at a school like OSU. His erratic HS behavior is beginning to surface again also. So is OSU's lack of judgement.

  • I agree, Pryor would make an excellent WR or even TE. He needs to stop staring down every receiver he throws it to, make quicker/smarter dscisions, and stop wearing his emotions on his sleeve. I do think he'll eventually find a rhythem in college football, but he'll never be a QB on Sundays.

  • i knew this would happen after last weeks game---pryor has a bad game and theres suddenly flood of people anointing him a bust and he should switch positions. where were you guys the last few games? whenever he has a good or great game, you will hardly see any negative comments about him (and any negativity wont be nearly as harsh). i dont think pryor suddenly became that much worse in a week or two. and if he has a good or great game, i dont think he suddenly became that much better.

  • i've never seen an offense at ohio state get worse as a season went on.

just got back to columbus from the loss at purdue (and i know hindsight's 20/20), but damn... it's just frustrating to watch. i want him to get better, but less talented QBs are way ahead of pryor developementally at other schools. he's got gifts, he just needs the brains of a quarterback.

  • @circderonim

Pryor would be an awful WR or TE, his legs are WAYYY too long and he'd never get off the line of Scrimmage, any decent corner would have their way with him.

  • i was pretty upset after returning home from the purdue game. but i think we can all agree at 1:20 of this vid, hahahaha.

i don't agree that long legs inhibit a WR. height and speed is a huge advantage. he's physical enough to be a TE as well. i think he'd have trouble shaking people off the line, but he's got the burst.

still personally rather see him succeed as QB though

  • our offense needs to get it in gear, that was the most absolutely embarassing performance by a buckeye offense in a long time

  • No last season vs. Purdue was even more embarrassing. I was at that game. Our total yards were virtually the same as on Saturday except Purdue was one of the worst Big 10 teams last season (unlike Wisconsin on Saturday) and our offensive time of possession was twice as much in the Purdue game. I think the Buckeyes couldve gotten the ball moving in the 2nd half on Sat if they had the ball for more than a couple plays in the 3rd quarter and if game was closer in the 4th quarter (no Tresselball)

  • All Im saying is that if our d and spec teams hadnt bailed us out that could have been a very ugly loss. Every decent team we have played thus far, our offense has gone into the tank and if we dont fix it in the next couple of weeks i cant see us getting by penn st and iowa unscathed. Most of the problem i believe is in o-line play as a whole, they only play well in spurts and it has been just enough to win against inferior competion but our toughest games remain.

  • Haha I knew something was weird about that guy lol. Go Bucks baby!

  • hahahah yes gotta love the family guys refrence

  • Does the guy say "Ray Small, giggity"?? Hahaha

  • tOsu defense did not allow a touchdown, again. When the D plays like that, tOsu doesn't need T.P. to have a 200yd passing/100yd rush day. Go Bucks!

  • GO

    BUCKS!
