Every year this song has been sung at least 2,000,000 times a year at funerals, games, etc. Whitney is memorable, but there have been many that have moved me as well. Sopranos, young men with gorgeous voices, young women with gorgeous voices and an 8 year old girl with the voice of an angel singing the anthem at her father's veteran funeral.

@dastaylor By "original" you mean diviating from how the SSB was originally written and making it your own personal anthem, in some cases to showcase your singing prowess. Whitney did admit to using a prerecorded version of the SSB @ the1991 superbowl SSB and singing into a dead mike. This was a shame because in 1991 Whitney was the best and lipsyncing diminishes her.

BTW you might check who sings the best rendition of God Bless America - No contest there.
