thank God they got a new director. of course, im not certain if she is totally to blame, but the entire middle of the book was left out of the movie. instead of months, they fell in love in two days. stupid. it definitely could have been SO much better. even putting in little things that wouldnt have increased the running time, like my favorite line, "I may not be human, but i am a man". Eclipse has been the best movie, imo. (i cannot even IMAGINE Breaking Dawn on the big screen.) GL with that!

I didn't like the movie! well it wasn't bad bad! but it could have been soo much better! I mean look at new monn it was AWESOME! loved it a million times more than twilight! and NM was actually my least favorite book .

New Moon was definitely a BITCH flick. I'm 47 years old and have read all of the books and found most of them to be fun reads. I have loved vampire books and flicks since I was a kid. The first movie wasn't bad. However the second movie had to much lovey-dovey sh*t in it. I know it's supposed to be a love story. But chill out on the love part a smidge so the rest of us can enjoy it too. I never was one to be ruled by my genitals so lay off on the horny teenager malarkey!

I think in the movie, we didn't see Bella and Edward's relationship and chemistry fully evolve the way we see it in the book. If the writer/director had stuck more closely to the book, it would have been great. New Moon from what I've seen, looks to be a more faithful adaption.
I like reading and visualizing the character of Bella from the book twilight than from the movie, its not the same at all. In the book Bella is more in love and i dont see the same feeling when I saw the movie.
I 100% agree with Shaelyners. Like, I couldn't have said it better myself. I don't see the chemistry they supposedly have. When I read the book, I fell in live with Edward. In the movie, it didn't really happen. I mean, when I read Twilight, I thought Bella was great. She did funny little things and even though she was shy, her thoughts were always wild and fullnof emotions. I loved it. Kristen Stewart was just kind of monotonous.

I think they killed the Meadow Scene. Them sitting in a little field was NOT in ANYWAY the Meadow scene. I remember looking forward to it because it was just so romantic. But it completely DIED. Like seriously rolled on the floor and died. They should've kept the meadow scene the same.

okay for one; Twilight- the movie was barely anything like the book; that is if you read it. She took parts out and added parts in; and for 2; Yes it's an amazing book; I have all of them but it shouldn't mean go out and get everything you can of it, and try to be the best fan girl/ guy of it. I think it's disingenuous of you to say the move was "barely anything like the book." Yes, there were some major changes (ex. eating at the diner rather than Bella cooking) and some minor changes (ex Tyler was supposed to skid on ice, and B&E were supposed to sit together at a lunch table not talking at a salad bar); however, overall there were many more scenes that were extremely close if not spot on to the book. I only have a few characters left in this post so I can't go into a play-by-play.
How can you say that a major change was Bella's lack of cooking (this was one of the minor issues) and that most of the scenes were the same? There were huge changes in the film, e.g. The whole ridiculous bit in the woods with "I know what you are". That was so stupid - Bella is supposed to guess correctly in the car on the way back from Port Angeles. Going to the woods comes much later. Also, the major kiss scene was incorrect too - it was supposed to be in the woods, not her room.

I've read the whole series, needless to say it didn't grab me as my favorite books of all time.
I reread them though. As they say the books were better than the movie. I don't like how she tied in some of the characters in the last two books. it was very choppy, and you could tell she wrote parts beforehand, and then tried to make it all relate. I don't like the way she killed of some of her characters either. I give the whole series a 7.
i haven't read the whole series yet.. i'm only 1/3 of the way in new moon.. but honestly.. its an okay story but its not like "omg i can't put it down!!" so from what ive read so far i'll give it a 7 aswell

Wow. The director is so self-absorbed. Everything she talked about involved herself, i thought she would give us some interesting insight to the movie, and not her damn clothes. I'M SO HAPPY THEY REPLACED HER! The Special effects were crappy!!!
bella n ed did a nice job in the movie , but they left out so much from the book.. it was just so disappointing , i can't get over it! i loved the book. it shud have been subtle and gradual... and whats with growling sounds in the fight with james.. they shud have used some better sound effects.. it was like 2 angry cats .. the hero shud have a manly roar atleast! over all gud acting.
I'm hoping this new director wont cut as much out of the movie as Hardwick did.. & personally I thought it was really stupid that Bella narrated some of it. (just my opinion) but hopefully the good sections from the book wont be cut out!

okay for one; Twilight- the movie was barely anything like the book; that is if you read it. She took parts out and added parts in; and for 2; Yes it's an amazing book; I have all of them but it shouldn't mean go out and get everything you can of it, and try to be the best fan girl/ guy of it. I think it's disingenuous of you to say the move was "barely anything like the book." Yes, there were some major changes (ex. eating at the diner rather than Bella cooking) and some minor changes (ex Tyler was supposed to skid on ice, and B&E were supposed to sit together at a lunch table not talking at a salad bar); however, overall there were many more scenes that were extremely close if not spot on to the book. I only have a few characters left in this post so I can't go into a play-by-play.

How can you say that a major change was Bella's lack of cooking (this was one of the minor issues) and that most of the scenes were the same? There were huge changes in the film, e.g. The whole ridiculous bit in the woods with "I know what you are". That was so stupid - Bella is supposed to guess correctly in the car on the way back from Port Angeles. Going to the woods comes much later. Also, the major kiss scene was incorrect too - it was supposed to be in the woods, not her room.

I've read the whole series, needless to say it didn't grab me as my favorite books of all time.
I reread them though. As they say the books were better than the movie. I don't like how she tied in some of the characters in the last two books. it was very choppy, and you could tell she wrote parts beforehand, and then tried to make it all relate. I don't like the way she killed of some of her characters either. I give the whole series a 7.

I finished New Moon the day I got it. I just had to keep reading until I found out what happened to Edward in the end. Even though the parts without him were a little boring, the parts where he's mentioned are so good it made up for it. For me it was really intense, I cried multiple times.

bella n ed did a nice job in the movie , but they left out so much from the book.. it was just so disappointing , i can't get over it! i loved the book. it shud have been subtle and gradual... and whats with growling sounds in the fight with james.. they shud have used some better sound effects.. it was like 2 angry cats .. the hero shud have a manly roar atleast! over all gud acting.

I'm hoping this new director wont cut as much out of the movie as Hardwick did.. & personally I thought it was really stupid that Bella narrated some of it. (just my opinion) but hopefully the good sections from the book wont be cut out!
Other than that I really think this movie will be more pleasing. the actors look better and well.. Jacob is pretty hot! (no pun intended!)

omg...she is awsome...i mean...guys she gave life to many scenes(eg. baseball scene, fight scene, the scene in edward's room)...i believe that she is the best director for this sequels i hate the director of eclipse...i wish he will not destroy the whole atmophere that Katherine developed!!!
And of course, i like the way that she make the scenes coz she make them in human way!!!She is amazing, she is a woman!!!

I saw the movie first so i pictured this characters when i was reading the books and i loved it.
I mean i don´t really have any expectations for the sequels i prefer to be surprise 'cause i kbow they can´t do an exact copy of the book they have to do a version that be as good and as close as it can be, i think she did a great job!!
I loved that line from the movie, is so funny and sarcastic it really gives something to the mood of the scene and to the character of James.
