tedmarks2, I feel that you underestimate the current economic situation, the economy is essential to the country. Although the country needs to focus on world and social issues, economic issues are the most pressing and urgent at this current time.

Dan raises some great points and initiatives that would definitely help Canada as a whole, especially the attention needed for Canada's essential manufacturing industries.

I do not underestimate the plight of the canadian economy at all. My suggestion is based soley on my knowledge of the competition. There will be a wide range of political viewpoints voting for the winner. I do not doubt that most will be satisfied with the economic plan but leftists will be looking for something more. So maybe my last post was not clear I think the focus should still be the economy but try and appease the political left.

I disagree with bearamy9.... We have relied on our weak dollar and american neighbors for too long. The increase in the dollar has showed that we do not have a real competitive advantage in the manufacturing industry. We need to innovate to create jobs that matter. I do have a suggestion Dan I know your background is business so I understand the economic slant but I think you should talk about world issues and social issues (not linked to the economy) to become a well rounded candidate.

great points! one slight argument. at the moment canada can't quite function all that well without our southern neighbours. we need to put money into their economy to aid in our own. as we can see with the ford/chrysler pandemic, they influence our economy more than all the other countries in this world combined let alone a single seperate nation.

sorry for the little rant but you bring up amazing points and i really believe in most of your plans. keep it up Dan! ill be voting ;)
