The jeep was the only vehicle with any control at all. She probably would have just gone down hill if those those other retards weren't standing in front of her. By the time they got out of the way, she was sideways. Granted, a skilled driver could have straightened up and continued on, and would have. She probably didn't know that other car was going crest the hill behind her.

I live in Vancouver. There are three problems. 1.) Because the city is on the coast it will get down to like -5, snow, warm up, melt a bit, then get down to -5 again and turn everything to ice. lol. Then there are the nice times when it stays cold so its decent snow, but that doesnt stay long. 2.) People drive around with all seasons or even worse sill drive with there low profile performance tires. + dont know what to do. 3.) The city's plan for snow removal is hope it rains soon.

@chevyman8329 Oh... sorry.. Back here in tiny Norway 80% of cars use studded tires and we just call them wintertyres.. But we also have a tirebrand from Finland - Nokian tires and they make studless tires that actually works on ice, not a full replacement of course, but with soft rubber and plenty of sipe it gives a good grip. It cannot be used at summer due to its very soft rubbermix. We also have Continental and Michelin... No other will do. And I Agree.... Studs works best on ice..

If I haven't learned anything from learning how to drive in the Chicago area is (1) Brakes are no good on ice and (2) if your vehicle starts to skid, turn the wheel towards the skid.. Two things which the lady (who was still standing in the middle of a snow covered street where there were mostly likely still traffic) didn't do... If you're not used to driving in those conditions, use public transit...
