@MrSuperDuperAnthony As he said, the crisis isn't just happening there, its happening in a lot more places, such as Shoreham by Sea, where if coastal erosion continues, millions of pounds of property damage could ensue. This place just happens to be where he lives.
Hey Walney, it's been 3 years now. I would love to see an update video from the very same spot, if you still live in the area. Have things changed any?
I read an interesting interview with a sea level expert the other day who reckons it is more common that coastal erosion is caused by falling sea level, than by rising sea level.
Brilliant but so very sad for your predicament. I teach coastal erosion to year 8 (age 12/13) and will definitely show this video during lessons. Praying for you mate.
Anyone interested in coastal restoration efforts should get involved with America's WETLAND: Campaign to Save Coastal Louisiana. The foundation works to raise public awareness of the impact Louisianas wetland loss has on the state, nation and world and to gain support for efforts to conserve and save coastal Louisiana. Check out the video "Washing Away."
LOL we have electrical poles standing 300 meters into the sea (they once stood beside a road) right here in Bangkok and nobody even bothered to put a video on Youtube!
Hello Colin.Dave here. This poxy country can waist millions Iraq & Afganistan. We do have the man power to build sea defences round our country. This poxy labour run goverment does not give a toss about all the thousands of peoples lost homes on the coast. They better sort it out because it will SOON BE TOO LATE. Use mighty power of nature
In the northwestern Australia, we have huge tides,
huge deserts, huge evaporation and huge dry rivers and lakes.
Huge 12m tidal erosion can revive old dry paleo dormant once mighty rivers, creeks and lakes,
desalinate the country and change deserts to rain forests to provide more rain across Australia
World population is growing rapidly and we need more energy, food, land and water.
