My verbatim (1.5 Terra) looks the same as yours. It fell to the ground yesterday, and now its making a weird clicking noise (inside the HD I removed the case to check). Would you know if this is a default laser, or the disc itsself has gone crooked? in that case I believe its possible to be fixed

Hi Dave,

I bought me one, but verry disapointing.

This drive give verry slow transfer rates. a bit above 10mbs.

I was hoping i reached the gigabit range.

wanted to use this dive to combine with a media player and wireless acces. tru a gigabit router but so far mutchto slow for me.

@Rene046 Next time get a drive with firewire 800. All the drives I own have firewire and USB. I connect both to my computer and I get amazing speed that I'm very satisfied with. Make sure to check that the drive can send the data between 2 cables, because a lot of them cant.
