Can someone help me? I have a 2000 GP1200r that is all stock except for D plate and chip. It only runs 54 mph on GPS. Power valves are opening up all the way and spark plugs like good? What could the issue be? Anyone?
hi i have a 2005 gp1300r i was wounduring to get rivae stage2 and triple pipe with a carbonfiber seat and geting a boost bottle and v-force reeds but i scared to porte the cylinders becuase i dont wnat to face problems do you think it will be fine and i will get alot o power..thanks
Dude I need your help. I have an XLT1200 and Im trying to figure out whether or not I have a catalytic converter installed or d-plate already in place. This wouldnt be a problem if I knew what to look for. Can you tell and/or explain what a cat-con looks like, and where its at in the exhaust? All I need to know is what to look for. Any and all help is appreciated.
well first i suggest getting a manual, that will help alot with anything else you need to do...... do you have a sensor that plugs from the exhaust stinger to the side of the black electrical box? if not then a small black chip should be in one of the slots on the left side of the box.. if theres a chip then you probably have a d-plate.... the cat-con is buried in the pipe so you wont see it.
Ive got a technical manual now and it has provided me with a great deal of reference but allow me to explain what Ive seen so far. I have a wire with a two female connector terminated at the end stemming from the rear exhaust assembly (where the CatCon is) but doesnt connect to the black electrical panel near the rear seat of the craft. I have not checked the panel for a chip of any kind yet tho. Ideas?
look for the chip.. if its there then you got a d-plate, if not then your sensor came unplugged and you should start taking the exhaust apart to check for sure...
Sounds good Ill check tomorrow. Again I appreciate your time. If you have any questions regarding anything Cisco and Microsoft let me know. Thats my expertise :)
There is a sensor on your pipe. If it is pluged in you have 1. D plates won't work with out a chip from Riva. When chip is installed the wire from the sensor has no place to go and is usually coiled up for future use. Otherwise take the rear section of the pipe off and look in it.
Sick motor in that thing!
