  • Gauss Theorem

  • If the earth is hollow, there is no gravity within, because gravity would act equaly in every direction, but the rotation of the earth would cause a weak force pushing things away from the center especially at the equator. A mass at the very center would feel no force whatsoever, except perhaps drag, from the air moving past it.

  • I can't say that I fully understand what's going on in the video, but I'm glad to see someone coming to terms with the hollow earth theory being a bogus claim. Anything on the inner side of a hollow planet would indeed fall in toward the center, not stay on the outside. Unless, of course, someone thought of a clever way to make artificial gravity plating that's strong enough to counter the gravity of the central star. Also, wouldn't the central star also have to be hollow if it were true?

  • Planets are formed via centrifugal forces, with mass thrown outwards to form a crust which is a hollow shell with two apertures at the axis... Gravity is a function of mass, the earth's mass is in it's crust so gravity exists equally on both sides. Both sides have gravity, and atmosphere. The hollow interior is to the interior surface what outer space is to the exterior surface, and completely irrelevant to gravity. Thank you.

  • Lighter material gets pushed outward. That means that heavier material stays on the inside. The earth can't be hollow. Also, if the earth was hollow, then how do you explain plate techtonics or volcanos or even the magnetic field? Also, wouldn't the central star also be hollow? Does it have a central star? How impossible does something need to be for people to not believe in it?

  • First watch the videos in my playlist about plate tectonics, earth expansion, seismic creep. Visit some of the links on my channel Consider reading Jan Lemprecht's book Hollow Planets and visit his website hollowplanetsdotcom. Familiarize yourself with the work of S. Warren Carey, James Maxlow and Marvin Herndon. All this is for starters, and at that point you may be ready to consider the possibility (indeed, reality) of a hollow, expanding Earth.

  • Trust me, I've been following that stuff. None of it makes any sense. You tell me how a hollow planet ever formed in the first place. It seems kind of impossible without magic, and magic isn't science.

  • The origin is in the top left, with positive y pointing down -- rather nonstandard for a graph, I agree, but it's what I'm used from graphics programming.

The colours are in RGB space, [50%+x, 50%, 50%+y], with [x, y] being a vector representing the direction and force of gravity.

In the very middle, however, you'll notice that the image is grey, meaning x and y are both zero. Objects inside don't fall toward the center, or toward the edge. There is no gravity at all, it all cancels out.

  • I still don't quite get it, but whatever.

  • The fallacious nature of your erroneous claims strains credulity at best.

    just kidding. You win.

  • I suppose this also makes Dyson spheres impossible...
