Type in Walker avery to see the real Sean Avery... talks alot of crap but wont back it up with Scott Walker... Walker has a mic on so you can hear everything. Even Avery telling him to drop the gloves first.. What a baby!!!!!
The Rangers get screwed on every first round pick they get. Pavle Brendl at #4, Dan Blackburn at #10, Hugh Jessiman at #12, Al Montoya at #6, and now a poor young kid dies right next to Jaromir Jagr at 19 years old. There new draft pick Dylan McIlrath better be an amazing defenceman.
@hockeyman1117 Brendl, Jessiman and Montoya were bad picks. Blackburn, had a nerve injury that no one know about and Cherepanov died. They only got screwed with two picks. But now that Gordie Clark's the one making the picks, we're getting guys that are NHL caliber that got drafted in the 3rd and 4th round as well as our 1st round picks.
I know its sad that he died and all, but im tired of people saying he would have been great. Actually no. If he survived, they would figure out he had heart problems and he wouldn't of played in the NHL, even if this never happened eventually after blood tests and stuff they wouldnt let him play because his heart condition, its about his safety, This happened to Matt Carle bro, he has the same condition so he couldnt play in the NHL after being drafted in the 1st or 2nd round
I feel shame for the russian medicin...no ambulance during the game...(((( Such a guy! Such a player! Such a star! ((( Forgive us, Alexey...You could do so much...RIP
I woulda been glad if he had survived. Who cares if he couldn't play anymore. If he lived his career would have been over. He woudla always been at risk for cardiac arrest. No doctor would clear him to play.
i just think that the reports of him blood doping were a bit too vague. "alexei cherepenov was blood doping." that's pretty much all we heard, and then the whole thing went away.
he didn't do steroids you douches, do you guys seriously believe russian media? they reported that because they don't want to take the blame for his death...didn't any one of you morons notice how vague the reports were about it? he had a preexisting medical condition, probably an enlarged heart or somthing.
okay if you want to believe the sketchy KHL owners who all seem more like russian mafiosos each and every day. they are trying to divert from the bad press that they got for having no ambulance on hand, and no working defibrillators. he had a pre-existing heart condition.
And if you want to find conspiracy in things where it isn't there, go for it. there was huge speculation he was blood doping right after it happenned, didn't come as too big a shock
its like at that moment nobody knew that he will be dead in less that a year.the rangers probably had great plans with him,he would have made it so big-R.I.P dude
Doesnt it seem a little strange how he ended up being chosen to the rangers, and the foreseeing by the announcers...it all seems to coincidental he ended up beside Jagr when he left us.
i didnt mean to sound like a fag saying only in the usa but i read the report and it say there wasnt an ambulance of a difiblular on hand at the time of the incident
jproducts you are a LOWLIFE. ROFL are you kidding me? Instead of using your time posting asinine comments on youtube, maybe you should take a few moments and reflect on what really matters in life. This is very devastating news, as this kid not only was a hell of a player but also seemed to be a wonderful person. Even though he never played for NY I will always consider him a Ranger. RIP Alexei
What is wrong with you? This kid had a hell of a career in front of him. It is a tragedy that he is gone. No one knew that this was going to happen and I lay money that the Rangers haven't even thought, "Hey, maybe we shouldn't have picked him." You've got to be kidding me! RIP Cherry. You will be missed by all hockey fans around the world. You were a great talent. Have fun playing with the boys in Heaven.
I remember watching this. I went ballistic! I was so happy. From picks 9-16, I was on the edge of my seat. Once the 16th pick slid, I was thinking the Rangers would swipe him up, and they did.
its so strange, he gets drafted by NYR and gets to play with his favorite player Jaromir Jagr. Jagr retires and joins his KHL team, and now Jagr may have caused his death, unintentionally of course. What a terrible tragedy
well this goes to show u ull never know or how ur gonna die...19 heart attack...personally i think he have been tryin to do too much...during the game.
holy #$%! I still cant believe what happend. It's sad to see such a talent go at such a young age, this should never had happend. This kid was going to make a big name for himself in the nhl and north america. Just so sad to see things go this way, He was 19!....
Still nice to see the many people paying tribute to him back in Russia and here. He deserved way better than this!
great pick by the rangers, when he comes for the 09-10 season the team will be perfectly primed for him, we have made great strides to become a younger team and this puts the team in the right direction with him and the other young players
Yeah I think that is what will happen. The Rangers need more prolific scorers who can pump in at least 30+ goals. I didn't like their system of dumping the puck in and hoping for something to bounce the right way instead of generating goals. It seemed once Jagr was on the ice, they all stopped playing and just looked for him to score all the time.
this kid will be the next jaromir jagr for the rangers. he got incredible talent.its a disgrace for the NHL scouts that he had to wait till the 16. pick
yeah, I think it will take a period of years...but he will be great if he justifies the Rangers faith in him. He also needs to get stronger, he's a bit skinny but he'll bulk up with age and time.
Cherepanov's idol Jaromir Jagr will teach this kid how to work and will take him under his wing just as he did with Petr Prucha. He's not Ovechkin but he's not Brendl either.
Yeah he and Jagr are cut from the same mold, they are Russians and they toiled n the Russian Leagues before coming here...and finally...he had to wait so damn long to get picked!!!
The superleague is the second best league in the world. Better than the AHL or Swedish Elite League. It's amusing how a lot of Oiler fans and canadian fans keep saying this kid will bust cus they passed on him. This guy is going to torture them for years to come. And they question his toughness because some meathead western canadian goon blindsided him with a dirty hit in the Canada/Russia series. It won't matter.
A comment from Montreal, the fans Of Montreal are very Mad that the canadians don't pick Cherepanov or Esposito, Some fans will drop the Canadians because they are very angry that Timmins and Gainey don't respect that they said since 5-6 years!!
