This Mrs Fothergill is ok on attitude - you do get that feeling that she gets her most powerful orgasms as she kills her victims. But the character in the book was insanely strong and incredibly skilled, with an insatiable appetite for beating her victims in a fight to the death. In the book she kills a highly skilled man who is fighting for his life. That would have been so much better than her killing this passive mime.

The clip you refer to was on here a while ago but was taken off. The bad girl gives our heroine modesty a beating before proceding to strangle her & only the intervention of willie garvin saves her from disaster.
Only complaint with the fight scene is I would have liked it to have lasted longer with Modesty receiving a severe beating off Mrs.Fothergill before she gets her down on the ground.
Loved the scene where Gabriel makes it plain to Modesty that Mrs.Fothergill is to be the instrument of her death. While telling her Mrs.Fothergill fixes Modesty with a long, hard stare. You can see the fear in Modesty's eyes & resignation of defeat as she realises Mrs.Fothergill is the better woman.
If they made a new movie, following the books then the movies would be far better than the 60s comical version - IMHO
