There's a lack of professionalism and dedication to quality of craft in many christian media. It's tolerated by both those that make such media and those that consume. This is why so much of it is shoddy.
thank you for providing a fair review to this movie. you are right in most points, but im just thankful that you pointed out that it is in fact a non-profit movie made by a small church in Georgia. i guess the intention of the movie really is not to showcase talents, not to be famous filmakers and to win awards, but to send out a message to couples undergoing the same struggles they do.

I mostly agree with your review. I absolutely love this movie, except for a few "cheesy parts." I am a Christian, so this movie especially moved me, but I believe everybody can take something from this movie. I pray that one person sees this movie and sees how much God loves us and how sacred the institution of marriage is. Thank you for how respectful your review of this movie was. Pretty honest and accurate review. However, I don't think you need to be a Christian to enjoy this film. The theatre I saw it in was packed and at the end everyone clapped. Although everyone could have been a Christian, I doubt all were. A refreshing change from the trash hollywood puts out there.
At the beggining of 2008, my parents were going through a tough time in thier mariage. It was, for me, the most trying, and the most difficult time in my entire life. I havn't seen this film, but I know what it stands for. I know that anyone will relate to this film if they're having trouble in their mariage. My parents worked it out in the end, and the long journey upwards has been great! I can't wait to see this film.
What do you mean it sounds like it is coming out of a Sunday school book? This is a CHRISTIAN film! You do NOT have to be a christian to watch this film. This film can change a persons life!
Close enough. Whether they were married 10 or 7 is not the central issue in this movie. Couples can and do begin experiencing problems in their marriages because as humans we are ALL selfish and it is our selfish nature that causes destruction in relationships in general. The divorce rate affects everyone in our society, everyone. This movie is a tool that can save relationships and carries a very powerful message.
I got to see the movie because a friend recommended it. I didnt know it was a Christian movie but I stayed and I sow it anyways. I actually like it and it gave me encouragement to try to make my marriage work. I give it two thumbs up and thanks for a good review.

Good review, the only thing that I would add is that I do believe that it is a movie for ALL audiences. I think that anyone can relate to a man that doesn't feel the respect that he thinks he deserves, the pornography and how the woman feels about it.
