@800kirby :-P who told you that lie? woops mister dyson did lol then you wasted $600 smackers you could have bought your self a nice kirby for that kinda cash and your famley and friends would have bin like oh you have a kirby and how nice your carpet looks to much cleaner to lol
oh wow the oreck is a crap one sided suction pice of junk !!! lol if you are crazy enough to buy one of them then just DONT VACCUM ! SWEEPYOUR CARPET WITH A BROOM !!!!
It kills me that you're calling a bagless machine a canister. Please call it a bagless container, bagless dirtcup etc. A canister vacuum is so much better than an upright: ex: Royal Power Team, Riccar Canisters and Hoover PowerMax, Dimension 1000, Celebrity series. A two motor Powerteam system with an excelent manueverable powerhead that fits under beds and furniture and attachments that make car cleaning easy. Thank You!!
Miele's are my favorite vacuum cleaners, I have an S234i from the early 80's, two "previous generation" S5's, and I have an S4 Neptune and S7 Tango which I bought new last July. I also plan on adding an S5 Capricorn sometime too. :)
But you left out one brand for a sealed upright, Miele makes an upright also, see my channel for a video of my S7 upright. It's equipped with the activated charcoal Hepa filter. The best in filtration. :)
Those cheap bagless uprights with filters are nasty things, too much dust escapes and they clog too fast. Dyson is the only way to go for a bagless vacuum, but it depends on which model you buy. I find that the canisters have a lot more airflow than the uprights which have very little airflow. The DC23 has an amazing turbine-head on it, it didn't even slow down when I stood on it!
With the Kirby G4 that we have at home, due to expense of the refill bags, when full I manually empty out all the dust and smut (dusty terrible job) that has been picked up and throw the filth out, put that close to perfectly empty bag back in and Bob's your uncle. Do you see any downsides to this approach?
pleas tell me your joking. for what its worth just buy new bags cuz what happens is the kirby bags have a speashell lining that traps dust if you just keep using it its no good yeah it fills up but its its only working at 1/3 the power and you leave to much in the carpet and the vaccum has to work harder to pick up. just buy new bags
@jcal5150 thats excatly why hoover has the new platinum upright with a bag system that seals its self so no dirt, dust or allergens escape and my hoover windtunnel which i recently bought is bagged so its a sealed unit but i do have to buy bags which is a waste of money and i wish they made bagless units that seal the dirt in
john its been proven that the tempo and the kirby do infact leak!

@Kirbyotronic the dyson is nothing but a $400 plastic can with a motor it still blows DIRT AND DUST right back out of it

I thought the audio was fine.
With the Kirby G4 that we have at home, due to expense of the refill bags, when full I manually empty out all the dust and smut (dusty terrible job) that has been picked up and throw the filth out, put that close to perfectly empty bag back in and Bob's your uncle. Once again, fantastic video though.

Nah I'm serious. When it gets full and mum notices the difference in power I pretty much empty it out 100% for her.
With the replacement parts I buy in January I'll be sure to get a heap of bags as well.
