laser painter+guided missile are great, you can destroy air or ground vehicules, thanks to Laser you can lock while shooting with machine gun and then switch to missile and shoot. nothing except ECM jammer can distract the missile.

I tried it with Q or assigned key but did not work.

@CinamonChina Hmm. Spotting works the same way as playing infantry. What light blue chat mark? There was/is a bug if you reassign spotting to another key instead of Q it won't work, that's all I know.

Yes, absolutely... Stealth is almost useless because jets can easily see you in the air anyway.

You realise if you have the laze symbol you can fire right? You don't have to wait for your lock, if a target is lazed the missile will follow the laze and can be fired without any other locks, this is incredibly powerful in attack choppers, pilot lazes, gunner gets instant guided lock ons.

@Badhabitsjay It was the first time I tried it so no, I had no idea what I was doing. If you watch the whole thing there are moments when I didn't fire because the laser painter symbol didn't show up. I wonder if that was just a glitch or what. Probably have to try this build again, but first I need to play more Skyrim!

@Badhabitsjay dude..i unlocked the laser yesterday..and remember your comment.. i got the laser symbol and tried to launch the missile..but it didnt work.. i could only fire the missile after locking it with the missile locking system..BUT.. he hit from the top..because of the laser signal.. weird dont?

@FaculdadeMedicina Yeah, it's strange, it was working this way when earlier on I swear, it changed perhaps? I'm not sure. I never saw this occur on scouts I should mention, only the attack helis.

Good god is that asshole sniping out the side of the little bird? He should be an engineer, repairing your damage taken from MGs.

My tips: don't fire a guided missile unless:

1) they've flared very recently

2) you are extremely close

3) they are too preoccupied by tons of other fire

You can bait them into popping flares really easily, switch to gun, then quickly back to guided and it'll lock on fast.

@ericunderscores Why would flares matter at all against a guided missile? As far as the guided missiles concerned, the flares don't exist.

If you're instead talking about heat seekers, you can easily overwhelm an enemy choppers flares by firing two sets of seekers as fast as they reload. The second set will hit him, regardless of if he flared the first or not.

If you're in a scout helicopter and you're extremely close, don't even bother with missiles at all. Use your miniguns.

@REJ117117 No, he's firing AGMs (you can see right on the helo's HUD). It means air-to-ground missile, but you can fire them at any target that's lased which is why he's firing them at air targets. He has a laser designator which lets him lase anything that he looks at for a couple seconds.

@ericunderscores guided missiles ignore flares and are 1hit disable to MBTs and IFVs and 1hit kill to lighter vehicles and air vehicles, when the target is painted. You dont have to worry about flares with this setup.

@Lorddavian0 If you're using the laser painter first it has to lock on to the vehicle then the missile can lock on. When the target is laser painted it should do a top down hit that does more damage (doesn't seem to work all the time).

@Gentorizu Whn you use guided missiles the crosshairs come with a box that moves around the screen and that sometimes makes ur second crosshairs disappear or move.

@snoopie66 It's pretty good, but you have to give up stealth which can be dangerous if there are a lot engineers or jets.
