Silk is clearly the way to go.
Good qin + silk = tone quality is worth every millisecond of sustain loss.

They are not commercially available yet. I got them as a preview to test them out, etc. You'll have to wait.
I will publish more information when they do officially come out.
can you tell me more about these strings? How are they constructed? They sound quite nice, none of the metallic clinking sound that comes with metal strings.
Also, where did you get them? I didn't see them listed on the NAGA website.
