i am not a hater, its just that in FF9 during battle (not cutscenes) they made him pretty weak, when you fought against him the first time he only used thundaga and graviga.

The first time you battle Kuja (On Terra) He goes easy on you. He does this to achieve Trance.

In other words: He was not going all-out!

actually if i recall correctly he was bieng serious and you beated him then garland will tell him he was a failure supposed to die and then he would achieve trance.(might be wrong i only played FF9 once cause i didnt liked the game too much,give me thumbs down for my personal opinion but after playing VII and VIII i found IX kinda childish).

Incorrect, sebasdiabloo. Garland said that Kuja was a defect AFTER he achieved the permanent Trance. Kuja was waiting in the first battle for when the emotions of the souls he had under his control, via the Invincible, would have strong enough feelings for him to enter Trance. He was basically buying time.

Okay, first of all, I never gave you a thumbs down. Second, I was simply pointing out something you said that was wrong. I was clarifying something you weren't sure of, not flaming you. Kuja actually was able to destroy a planet; Terra, Kefka's claim to fame. He nearly destroyed all of existence. One of the closest to do so. He destroyed the Crystal. It was only because Zidane was determined to live that existence persisted. Kuja also killed the party before they fought Necron. Literally killed

yah not talking about u =P anyways, kuja never destroyed the cristal. his ultima spell was targeted to the party, they died and went to limbo were they fought lifa's tree true form,necron. most of the villains were close to obliterating all existence, x-death almost swallowed everything in the void hadnt the old warriors of light intervened, kefka left the whole world in ruin, sephiroth's meteor was inches away of destroying earth, ultimecia (continues)

compressed all time till rinoa restored it, and kuja almost(but didnt) destroyed the cristal,Sin left the whole world in ruin for a thousand years. chaos,mattheus,CoD,zeromus and specially vayne are all rookies (Lol). what makes villains in the world of FF more vile than others is the destruction that they leave behind b4 the grand finale.

He actually did destroy the Crystal. If you notice after he casts Ultima, the Crystal has been shattered before he falls through the ring it was in. Existence was only allowed to continue because Zidane and co. refused to give up.
