@RamblinAround -- the most common ones here in Tassie are Tiger and Copperhead (not related to the ones found in the U.S.). I believe only one person's ever died of a snake bite in Tassie, too, so that's pretty comforting. Now, the big boys they've got on the mainland are a whoooooooooole lot larger and MUCH more dangerous (ie, I'm not going there to find any)!
