  • what kind of SSD did you buy? Are all SSD compatible with the macbook poly?

  • @dnguyen963 Intel X25-M G2 Postville

  • Hey i bought an 07 macbook for $300, threw on a 60 gig ssd for $70 and it boots 12 seconds faster than my wifes MBP :)

Ps: everything else is quicker to not just the boot up....

  • @lucasZPFYT It's probably a better deal than buying a new laptop because later, you could use the SSD in a new one... Just goes to show you that the speed of the processor isn't what dogs these MB's... it's the drives! For $400 you could get a Macbook and put 200 more out to equal or better a $1100 Macbook pro.

I'd STILL rather have the MBP but hey, if you only have $600 then that's really hard to beat!

  • Why don't you just put an SSD in the MacBook Pro?

  • @HHBones mmmhh...maybe cause of the price? probably yes..

  • Almost no difference

  • @jedhay1

yes, but with standard 5,400 rpm HDD, the macbook white poly is 12 seconds slower!!

    SSD make the difference

  • @LucaZPFYT do you know you just payed a shit load of money for 12 seconds?

  • @mclmatty application time is way better with SSD and access to everything else

  • @mclmatty

oh c mon is for test only.

Now i've sold my mac 2007 poly and the mac pro is not mine!

now the ssd is in mac mini 2010
