I was lucky to be able to skate with Natas a few times. I hooked up with Natas and Kendall in Niles MI. I had a blast. I could ollie higher than alot of the pro's at one time but when I watched Natas blast ollie's over park benches just blem my mind. The speed he carried along with the height was nuts.
They thought he was going to be a girl, so the name was Natasha. They shortened it when they found out that the baby was a boy. I think I read that in Thrasher magazine 20 years ago...
the most ironic part was that his name backwards would spell satan. i wonder if his parents ever noticed that. hmm pretty coool name though, great skater
Natas and Gonz INVENTED street skating.
Especially with the transition of Rodney Mullens ollie-kickflip from freestyle to street.
And of course....handrails.
But videos today aren't as fun and sporadic in my opinion.
