I'm not that familiar with history of Waffen SS, but I do know history of my own country. Finnish Waffen SS battalion (part of Waffen SS Wiking) was never accused for any war crimes.

@Ferreal92 I think one reason the battlefields are being dug up is to rid the areas of unfired ordinance for one thing. Much of it is still dangerous and toxic as well. As far as SS divisions in Soviet land, they had no respect whatsoever for the people that lived there, so cleaning out the remains of their occupation is also helping to restore the lands to those who worked it for so many generations. This world is not a museum, especially the battlefields and homes of the victims of the Nazis.
