  • Not bad, but take a look on these ones:

Bateria de San Pedro A Coruña

  • BOOM!

  • This is a big gun, but the gun that just astounds me is the German 800mm K (E) railray siege guns, of which only 2 were made and used on the eastern front in WWII. It took 30 to 45 minutes just to reload. It could fire a 10,560 lb High Explosive shell to almost 30 miles, creating a crater 30ft wide and 30 ft. deep. Also, It could fire a 15,620 lb Armor Piercing shell just over 23.5 miles and was able to penetrate 7 meters of concrete at maximum elevation. look it up. the gun's a monster...

  • im pretty sure this gun hole was located in the Marin headlands just north of San Fransisco, I have been there several times there is actually two neither of which ever recieved a cannon. the major problem was they could shoot 27 miles a battle ship can shoot farther, and the war was over before they were completed. but it is an interesting place to visit lots of bunkers everywhere and the nike missle base is near by dont know if they still do tours or not

  • Couldn't they just make a replicated fake model of the gun to put there instead ?

  • Nice, but something usefull you forgot to add is, WHERE THE HELL IS IT!?!

  • Want a doughnut?

  • awesome, everything historical is awesome, because im american.

  • i was there isn't that in san fan

  • i saw this on time team on abc they were looking for schrapnel :D

  • :24 "Hey, we should go up there", and you're aiming the camera at these monkey-bar looking things, XD

  • Reminds me of my first hunting trip with my father when I was seven. I was so excited when I saw my first deer tracks. Dad said, "Pick 'em up and put them in the truck. We'll have 'em for dinner."

  • NOTHING compared to whats in Denmark after the Nazis left

  • @Mortengreg The same as in Norway ;) Cuz they built the same cannons so that they could shoot all the ships between Norway and Denmark ;)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAH xD NOTHING compared to whats in Norway after the Nazis left :P

  • in the thumbnail i thought the huge hole was a barrel

  • Really to bad they don't teach real history

  • might know where that is.

  • TRAILER TRASH SCRAPPED THE CANNON? HAHA

  • ok where is the fucking cannon???

  • @NeutralNegotiator take a look in your asshole

  • @43932 ok you got me that was a nice one...now fuck you!

  • On the coast of Rhode island are the remains, like these of 16" guns capable of lobbing a subcompact car to Martha's Vineyard ......... (that's in case one is too impatient to wait for the ferry leaving Wood's Hole).

Do a Wiki search for "16"/50 caliber M1919 gun".

At 484 tons or 968,000 lbs, that's close enough to 1,000,000 lbs for me.

  • Where is this Emplacement? on the French coast ready for Allied Invasion in WW2.

  • ive seen this in san fransisco. this is right by the golden gate

  • @gucciluke14 I thought so too, I've been there but it could be anywhere else in the world????

  • Mr. Bull started something in North America.

  • The world biggest cannon will you find in Trondernes, Harstad, Northern-Norway. Ever heard about Adolf - Cannon? Its a damn nce place to visit

  • Sorry. Dozed off there, looking at a hole in the ground, I was.

  • Unreal 2 - The Awakening ?

  • What a wonderful investment. Spending the people's money on those things shows the thoughts necessary to create a marvelous future for their decendants.

  • @altgeldrarities Ah you're one of those weird people who thinks that the human nature is "good"...do you have locks on the doors of your house?

  • @fdesouchecom You can do some simple research to see if any amraments from this video protected your house. Relax little sheeple, everything will be fine, pay your taxes and keep on borrowing.

  • @altgeldrarities You didn't even get my point. Let me simplify this for you : what makes you think other nations will not try to invade you (or attack and get control of resources) when you are unarmed? Prove me this with historical facts.

  • Whos gun was this where is it???? Was it used????

  • what was the name of the gun ??

  • stop arguing on youtube everyone, chill out

  • @NEWFUSIONDESIGN SAY ONE MORE WORD AND I'LL EAT YOUR SOUL!!!

  • @Paganwarrior2000 ill just shut my mouth now then.

  • Comment removed

  • @NEWFUSIONDESIGN THAT'S BETTER! THIS IS THE INTERNET! SERIOUS BUSINESS!

  • where is this???

  • 0:9 THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

  • what the fuck am i watching a hole where the gun was standing wahaha

  • @firestones18

    I agree, Mr. Fire.

  • @firestones18 It says "stood" not stands....

  • @mo1971fordcrew he said "was standing"

  • @mo1971fordcrew But he said "was standing". Where the gun was stood would not make sense.

  • @mo1971fordcrew your video is clearly called "Site Of One Of The Largest Cannons Ever Made" eluding to the fact we are going to watch a video with a cannon in it, not where it stood. You dont find that info out until you click on the video. Misleading, and needs to be removed so no one else waists their time like I did.

  • @mrjrclark ...Says the person who is still "wasting" time commenting on my video...

  • @mo1971fordcrew and he wrote WAS standing...

  • 16" iowa class cannons stood there ;)

  • Ahhh, another very fine example of German engineering.

No one was able to produce anything any better. Still the best Tools come from Germany! !! !

  • @Leeridiot Yeah, double the price of everything else and with a life expectancy of,let's say,10 hours tops...

  • @firefighter5278 What are you talkin about?

  • @Leeridiot It was supposed to be a tease but never mind! But to tell you the truth,German products aren't what they used to be.Nothing really is anyway.Have a nice day man!

  • @firefighter5278 Ahhh now i understand! But thats not true mate. I'm in New Zealand right now and the People here are very very happy with German Products... even with a huge Metal-Factory - send over 60 years ago as reperation. They just love it... Where are you from mate? You 2

  • Americans are always amazed by the Nazi's. I never understand that. I hate them!

  • the second largest land mounted cannon is in kristiansand norway only fired once and it was to prisoners of war in front of the cannon they vere never seen agen after the shoot

  • @moek111 I love this! how can a 15/34 cal gun even be considered close to second, when the UK had coastal artillery that was 15/42 cal (never mind the older 100 ton 17.72" Armstrong gun at Malta), the US mounted 16/50 cal coastal guns (as well as 50 ton 20" Dahlgren guns back in the civil war) and the Germans mounted 16/34 cal guns in Normandy and other sites in Norway.

  • @TheNaughtiusmaximus I was just about to mention Malta (which is where I'm from), but you got first :)

  • would love to go diving down that

  • @KLSLstudios Sure you aren't. Either way, I'm done here. Have fun.

  • @KLSLstudios Should follow your own advice Ozzirt.

  • did he say 2100 ton projectile???

  • Yes daft its a anti ship cannon was about 1000 mm or 500 mm shells

  • did the germans ever fire the cannon before or was it destroyed before they could test ito wasnt this the cannon that the germans built o wait srry thinking of a gun not cannon the gun was powered by rocket engines but i was thinking of the gun they built to hit paris with oops

  • Ozzirt is a dumb foreigner. Or the fact that 500 tons is equal to saying One Million Pounds. Of course he's got it in his head that Pounds equals money.

  • @TheKrayusKorianis I know right? Haha I was stating what the sign next to it said. If he has a huge problem with it he should talk to the people in San Fran about it.

  • @TheKrayusKorianis they have this USA thing where 2,000ib = 1 short ton which is just a tad ludicrous but if they're happy ? I'd say 446t

  • One million pounds,... surely not, a 16,000,000 oz cannon is terrible. Surely you meant a 500 ton cannon.

Now, that's not nearly so bad is it?

I'm gunna see my boss and ask for a 1000 cent raise?

  • @ozzirt Yes, sure 500 tons works too, smartass

  • @mo1971fordcrew Why do you Americans say such crap, are you trying to make it sound bigger than it actually is, or what?

You dont see prices quoted just in cents unless it is less than a dollar, likewise once a weight is in multiple tons you dont quote it in pounds or ounces.

This seems to be an American habit.

  • @ozzirt I'm just saying what the sign said man, stop being and ass. I didn't put it there.

  • @ozzirt If you care to look, the initial comment was not directed at you, but was an open comment to any and everybody, you answered and i answered you.

    FFS get over it.

  • @ozzirt The initial comment was directed toward me. " Surely you meant a 500 ton cannon."

But it's all good, it's all fun and games

  • @mo1971fordcrew Do you see "@mo1971fordcrew" at the beginning of my initial post? I think not.

But then again, it was for all,... and you are one of them :-)

Technically it wasn't a "cannon" either, but let's not get too pedantic.

  • @ozzirt Well I guess I'm just a typical dumb American.

  • Now put it on a battleship - WWII-era US Navy battleships carried 16" (barrel diameter) guns that fired 1900-2700lb projectiles up to 24 miles. Up to nine of these 239,000lb guns were mounted on one battleship.

  • @1GaryH1 Wow!! That is awesome!

  • where is this?

  • It's in San Francisco. Just next to the Golden Gate.

  • oh cool so it was ment to protect the bridge then, thanks

  • one million lbs!!!!!!! wow!

  • Yea definetly...And thanks!

  • it must of been scarry to shoot that off and very loud....... cool vids.
