Interesting that some younger people like this. Just don't forget that this is, despite the folksy application and classical instrument set, an example of modern 'electronic' music.
It's got a LOT more in common with hip hop than classical music! :P

i think that everyone, young or old, try to find things in life that are more majestic and beautiful to fill in the holes that real life makes. the holes made by greed and hate are usually filled with love and innocence. so people desperately try to find these qualities in everything, even me.

@modbb Younger people are still that. People. They are no less capable of feeling emotion. Understanding can come with experience, but that doesn't mean that those without experience can feel the emotion within and understand it in their own way.

Interesting that some younger people like this. Just don't forget that this is, despite the folksy application and classical instrument set, an example of modern 'electronic' music.
It's got a LOT more in common with hip hop than classical music! :P
Not a bad thing. They're both worthy disciplines. Newman bridges the gap. And how!

One thing must finally be said: Not only respect to the composers but also to the audio engeneers who mix it like that; all the EQ-work and FX knowledge. Amazing and I hope there will be always talents like these who can make the composing complete in their studios!!!

I love thomas newman and other composers, i cant hellp but listen to the beauiful music over and over, i'd rather spend some me time in my room, listen to this and learn it on piano, than go out and have to scout for 'fit' boys with my friends. I listened to Nemo Egg which was composed by thomas newman millions of times and eight years later, I get a keyboard and learn it by ear.

@Mefgar Rap music is about empowering the distressed teens and generally people who are looking for a better future. I agree with you that RAP has taken such a bad turn... Nowadays kids listen to it because they think it's cool to be GANGSTA and guns and drugs and all that noncense. But basically rap is made for the tortured sould to cry out and let the world know that I'M HERE I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE AND I'M NOT GONNA LET ANYONE STAND IN MY WAY.
That's what 2Pac was all about.
