I just recently came across your videos, and I love them. You show things in your videos that I never see in any of the other phone reviews online! I do have a question though .. I have a LG Dare, but I can't get this threaded message thing to work. There is no sort by contact option in my settings menu, but instead on the inbox it's self. It only sorts recieved messages though, and does not thread. Also it changes back to sort by time everytime I close the inbox. HELP!
Thank for the compliment. I no longer have one so bear with me. It's not exactly "Threaded"but you can sort by contact instead of by time so its similar. In order to set it to stay when you close it, try going to messages from the menu. Scroll down, you should see Settings. Select that and you'll see "Inbox View" select sort by contact. That is where you want to set it for it to stick.
@WirelessZone Im using a dare now (broke my droid eris) and im trying to do this based on what you said and im pretty sure you cant do it on the LG dare.....you can sort your messages by contact but that isnt permanent its only to search your inbox. If there is something im missing on grouping the contacts..or if im right on this one..just get back to me and let me know
In all honesty, I could be wrong. I've used so many phones, its really hard to remember and I don't have one in front of me to try it on. Lets do this...

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MANY MESSAGES THE VERSA HOLDS?
video is really helpful in helping me decide on the versa.. but someone from verizon told me that you can only thread messages for favorited contacts.. is this true? or is the threaded messaging option for all contacts? thanks
I don't think that's true. I'll try and find an active Versa to check.
I'm wondering, do you get alot of text from more than your potential 9 favorites that it would make a difference it it were true? Purely curiousity- til I find out the answer.
hey i love your videos. can you please answer my question though? does the dare show the texts threaded like this one or no? and is the versas screen to narrow to use comfortably and type easily on? cuz i know its narrower than the dare. thanks
No, the Dare doesn't show threaded messages but you can sort by contact instead of time so all the texts from one person will be in the same area.
The Versa screen is narrower but you get used to it. I found it very easy to type on but keep in mind, I was using my nails, not my fingertips. I'll try to make a video to give you a feel feel for what I'm saying.
Thank you so much, i asked the Verizon people and they said this CANT BE DONE, I told them i seen your video and i was going to go home and watch it again. Now i got my texting the way i want it. Thank you VERY MUCH!
on the dare it is actually a bit different. it doesnt thread them so much as sort by sender or recipient. this puts them by contact but still seperatly in ur inbox or outbox
Its a great phone. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm liking it alot. I LOVE the Visual Voice Mail and the ability to pick your own shortcuts and keep that as your homescreen.
