What is it with period movies and the heroine always having to wear plain outfits in the same old shade of blue-gray most of the time? Except for a few white outfits, the rest of the color spectrum is sorely underrepresented. What's wrong with lavender? Bronze? Lemon, peach, and so on? And why no prints?
Geez, why do they even bother with a costume designer the way things are going - might as well just reuse the costumes from previous movies. :P

I love his "What am I to do with you." He knows exactly what he'd like to do with her! But, lucky for her, he's really very honorable. He could have tossed her into the streets instead of seeing that she's taken care of.
Diana Rigg is rather funny in this - plays this part very tongue in cheek. Helena Bonham Carter is such a lovely girl and plays this with the right amount of irony and still makes it very romantic, particularly since there is real chemistry between her and gorgeous Marcus Gilbert. The film is such an escapist joy! I am re-watching it for second time already. :-))

Justin's impressed and has already fallen for her. the fact that she handled his late night visit, where justin and friends were checking her out, didn't faze her. and, that she is not in awe of him and speaks her mind....he's speechless. love the part where she brings up his mistress and his reputation and he does not know what to say!
