You're right that too many blacks seem to hold themselves back, prefering to gripe and blame their way through life rather than moving foreward and becoming productive members of society.
But, as an electrician with many very decent and intelligent black coworkers, I've noticed that people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds have more confidence and overall satisfaction when they are making good money at a prestigious job.
Moving to the black community was a culture shock to me because I lived in mostly white communities that were mid to upper income. There's a total difference as far as mores and values. Main issue with us is self-hate and low-selfesteem. It is sad because we have unlimited potentials and we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. I mean, look at yourself! : )
