  • Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Loved my teens at the Adelphi and Tower.

  • Brilliant, remember seeing them and Swervedriver supporting the the Stuffies at the Barra;s in 1990...fuck me am I that old

  • OMG, I've got the drummer's signature on a long sleeve top, lol :)

  • I bought the CD back in 1992-3 "Eat Yourself Whole" after I saw them on MTV's 120 minutes UK with Paul King.

  • ah memories, they weren't as good as i (or Loz) thought back then. The early ep's were blazing though. saw them countless times, not to mention a Spiders... happy days and good T-shirts.

  • whatever happened to loz from kingmaker. i remember readin his interviews and he was pretty mouthy and had a lot of forthright opinions.

  • Kingmaker were (are) awesome, wish I'd seen them live. Takes me back to the early to mid 90s though, hearing this. Great song. Long live Loz Hardy, you're a genius.

  • the number of train stations i kippped in following this lot around!

  • This band were the top bollocks from Hull and even 'spiders man' FYC must admit their tunes were fuckin brilliant.

John Brian Spence drop me a fucking note man -Bob.

    Kingmaker are tops

  • also, that prat from the beatiful south publicly damned them by calling them middle class pretenders.

Well what was Joe Strummer Mr Heaton?

If music's good just enjoy it.

  • mr heato..beautiful south are lets face it...utter shite

strummer was born upper class but he was a great person with working class views.

    kingmakerz early single were great

  • god my indie years flash before me! i loved these guys wish the vid of this tune was up, aaahhh the memories of watching the indie chart on the chart show............

  • Agreed. Along with Teenage Fan Club and Senseless Things, three bands that were never fully appreciated in their time. Unlike the shower of shit we often see these days...

  • Hummmm have to say that TFC and Senseless things were in a different league!

  • i agree with u lot. kingmaker were one of the most underated bands ever. i managed to get back stage with them when they played at Exeter uni and they were a cool bunch of lads

  • quite possibly the most underrated band of the last 20 years. Superb stuff.

  • yes a definately agree wi ya mate! all 3 maker albums stand the test of time wi me,a wish there wa more. brilliant lyrics great tunes wot more do ya needs.

  • Thank you! - takes me back, er, 15 years {Ten Years Asleep indeed}. Kingmaker really rocked at their best ... underrated and finally disowned by both the media and the public ...

  • cool
