It is a common thing in Europe to make fun of Americans, and yet they all want to be like Americans. They spend most of their lives watching American films and TV and soaking up American culture. Part of the problem is that Europeans are embarrassed that they love American culture. It only gets serious when Europeans start to work against the USA on geo-political issues just because they feel that America dominates their lives. But nobody forces them to worship our culture. They're insecure.
