The US wiped out the British indian allies, assuring a clear path to westward expansion. The British regained lost territories with the treaty, and were able to lessen taxes at home levied to offset US privateer raids on trading and could concentrate on Europe's frnt

Nah, he lost every penny of that, stolen mostly and the rest taken when his first wife and baby died. The 10,000 Guineas came from the battle of Vitoria, he and Harper obtained a lot of cash from there. After he lost that money to Jane he was living off the money raised from the jewellery sold by 'Maggie' his friend from a London rookery before he joined the army.
Biggest mistake Sharpe ever made in his life was to trust that harlot Jane and give her legal documents to all his money....although I must say Abigail Cruttendale DOES have a really great rack! I certainly separate the part she played in the movie from real life, she's a really terrific actress.
6:11 I wouldn't joke about that Richard! LOL

Ramona was never Sharpe's girl. Ramona is Harper's girl.
And Sharpe's daughter that he had is with his late ex wife's Grandparents in Portugal.

where the heck did he get the ten thousand guineas?
joslynn417 3 years ago
He killed and looted a Sultan as an enlisted soldier in India. It's in the books.
jlwalton89 3 years ago 2
Nah, he lost every penny of that, stolen mostly and the rest taken when his first wife and baby died. The 10,000 Guineas came from the battle of Vitoria, he and Harper obtained a lot of cash from there. After he lost that money to Jane he was living off the money raised from the jewellery sold by 'Maggie' his friend from a London rookery before he joined the army.
Check 'Sharpe's Honour' and 'Sharpes Regiment'.

Biggest mistake Sharpe ever made in his life was to trust that harlot Jane and give her legal documents to all his money....although I must say Abigail Cruttendale DOES have a really great rack! I certainly separate the part she played in the movie from real life, she's a really terrific actress.

Personally...
I'd have left my cash to:
a) Harper
b) Hagman
c) Harris
and only THEN the wifey. lol

Well if Sharpe kicks it, I would say its a good bet that Harper, Hagman and Harris would be dead as well.

I agree. Too bad what happened to Sharpe is still happening all the time to men in the military.
