  • HIT THE ROAD, BOND!

  • One of my all time favourites. The very best theme song. Great classical Bond story line. Talented actor. Great Diana Rigg. But why let him get married and why does his very first movie have to end with his newly wedded wife being shot? What is the bloody purpose? One of the most underratted Bond movies.

  • @momojiso If you read the books, His wife's murder is his motivation for the 2 or 3 books after where he hunts down blofeld, but since they didn't go by the books when they did the movies, you kind of see this at the start of diamonds are forever

  • @TheOmega1989 Tracy's murder is only Bond's motivation in You Only Live Twice, the book immediately following OHMSS, where he ends up killing Blofeld in the end.

  • this was the perfect james bond movie.

  • John Barry was the top here

  • Poor Lazenby didn't stand a chance at the time after Connery was supposed to be done with the series. He did okay for an amatuer especially in the more physical sequences. He was signed on for more bond films, which might have enabled him to grow into the character, had it not been for his shitty agent who thought that the role would have typecast him. Regardless of the problems it is definetley one of the better bond films, and much better than old Roger's shitters.

  • That agent must be thinking "wow i totally ruined and fucked up Lazenby career he must hate me for that now coz he even said in an interview in 2002 or something that he should have gone on to do two at least and that he didnt feel bond was gonna go on he thought it was over how wrong he was a great bond he wud have been one of the best had he gone on to the others.

  • 15 people have not watched this bond movie

  • it farts at the beginning lol.

  • Diana Rigg disliked Lazenby so much that she used to eat garlic before they did a kissing scene. Actually I thought that Lazenby was very good Bond ... not the greatest actor but he certainly looked the part. One of the better Bond films and a great theme tune.

  • @jontibloom I agree Phil

  • @jontibloom she didnt like him becuase he was australian.

  • This tune was actually not bad for the skiing chase scenes. However, George Lazenby just seemed wrong for the part. Not as 'experienced'. More like sidekick. And the guy playing Blofeld was too ordinary.

  • 13 people did not have their cholesterol reduced by 14%.

  • :?)

  • 0:29 SHAMEIMARU!! \(^o^)/

  • @fyrsne Bark.

  • @fyrsne Pun intended?

  • I had the cd on this video but it got scratched and it wasn't being distributed a few days before any more. So baisically I don't have this CD to put on my iPod. Sadface :(

  • @coast3dg3 Just google youtube to mp3 mate,

  • whats the song at the end of the 007 song :D :D :D :D :D/????

  • @CYYZspotter Scheming Weasel by Kevin McLeod

  • Diana Rigg owned OHMSS

  • It's so...breathtaking, u feel like you're in for some gd action

  • kojak give it ,high quality music score under rated.

  • yeh I here all of this praise for Lazenby on here and I think, yeh that's justified he added a new direction from the Connery films, but c'mon, an Australian as bond??!! :P

  • Other than Goldfinger This is the definatively best Bond Score

  • Lazenby is the best bond ever. Drop dead georgeous, credible in love and action scenes. And don't listen to all that pro connery BS about him being an advert star he could really act. Just check out the last scence of ohmss. No other scene in any bond movie is that touching or tender. Jampa

  • only bond song with no singing. . ans strange. . one of my favorites

  • @aleksiisteri1 FRWL had no lyrics in the movie and the original one had no "true" lyrics to it. Unless of course you count 3 blind mice.

  • 12 people must prefer the KGB Secret Service.

  • I just rewatched OHMSS and I gotta say it's one of the best Bond films ever. Lazenby, Rigg and Savalas were all great in their roles. I liked Lazenby very much because he brought some unrivaled sympathy to the character of James Bond. It would've been so cool if Diamonds Are Forever was all about the rematch of Lazenby and Savalas! It would've also been interesting to see Lazenby's Bond turning darker.

  • Whats that little song diddy at the end?

  • why the farth in the beginning?

  • This makes me want to light a cigarrette. So cooool...

  • The OHMSS album is the second in the trilogy of John Barry's Bond score masterpieces ( the other 2 being YOLT and DAF). Thank you so much John Barry for the many years of listening pleasure you have brought me and the rest of the James Bond fans around the world through the gift of your music genius. God bless you John Barry--the world has become a sadder place since we lost you on January 30,2011.

  • If only Lazenby wasn't so pigheaded,he could have gone on to become a great successor to Sean Connery.

  • whats that song at the end

  • this would have made a great end of the series, if it showed him ending blofeld in this movie

  • i almost wanted to sing Hit the Road Jack . LoL

  • Daniel Craig is the most book accurate bond like this one to the original novels. I would recomend reading the books before passing negative judgement on these two

  • I love this movie, but dislike the ending because James Bond is not supposta fall in love and or get married. There was a big thing about the ending, going against Bonds style. Just like Daniel Craig goes against almost everything with the emotionless robot vibe he gives off.

  • I used to not like this movie simply because it was not Sean Connery and it looked kinda old so I never really gave it a chance. I ended up liking it after I gave it a chance. The scene at the end is very sad. I found myself kind of moved emotionally....which is not really what I was used to with a Bond film. I really liked them....but because they were fun. This one was a little more dry and serious, but probably more like the book, although I never read it.

  • I love the bass in this, very great soundtrack: If I had kids, I'd let this them kidnapp 'em anytime!!

  • 12 SPECTRE agents found this awesome epic win of a video!

  • Terrible movie. Everyone involve with the pruduction of it should be ashamed of themselves.

  • @KyleRichardHudson I hate to disagree with you but I did see it and that's why he only did ONE movie.

  • Comment removed

  • @KyleRichardHudson Once I again, I respectfully disagree with you on the movies quality... however, perhaps I should watch it again, maybe I'd appreciate it more now.

  • @locutus94

Compare to Roger Moore's or Sean COnnery's Bond.... its not better or worst. Just basic spy story with bad writting and editing.

Bond only started to be entertaining with the Brosnan's and Craig's movies.

  • @Nower Although I will respectfully disagree with on Connery (in his younger days) I agree that Brosnan and Craig were the most entertaining and in my opinon most bad ass. However I enjoy Connery because he was the first and enjoy older movies. But I do agree with you, Brosnan and Craig are my two favorites.

  • @locutus94 Timothy Dalton was bad-arse!

  • @Angryification I do agree with you about that. When I said that "he knew when to stop" I meant he didn't over stay his welcome and still be 007 in his middle age. He performed splendedly and left before he became a joke. I think he did a great job.

  • Great song, but I hated the movie. Dr. No was better, and that's saying something.

  • great theme. Pity John Barry doesn't do the bond scores anymore. His scores were essential to all bond movies.

  • I think this is by far after listening to the other Bond themes composed by John Barry as very Bond like its got a wonderful bass rhythm that is felt and nice use of brass and electrical musical instruments. Sounded really cool on the JBL sound system that’s James Bond Loudness JBL! LOL

  • My faveorite bond music is a background theme I cannot figure out for the life of me. Its not the obivous opener. Its kind shirtey basssy style with trombones going off in between this theme that repeats as it descends. It's awesome, was in most of the old movies at least once, and I cannot find it. HELP

  • The best James Bond movie them. The movie was complete based on novel and i think it is first movie so. The movie is also the best of James bond followed by Casino Royale.

  • 12 people (who voted "dislike") must not like incredibly exciting music complete with electric guitars and horns. Definitely not only my favorite Bond theme, but also my favorite Bond music, even better than the James Bond theme.

  • This is actually my favourite James Bond movie. For some reason it just felt like the way James Bond was supposed to be. I think the perfection of George Lazenby's Bond, was that he was not perfect. Combine this with a beautiful actress, an exciting plot, the best Bond soundtrack to date and a very moving ending. The result is "On her Majesty's secret service".

  • its awsame

  • This piece of music is stunning!

  • Yeah this movie kicks some major Kabooty. Before you go watch all those flashy Modern Bonds were some musclehead slinks around killing everybody and slammin' Martinis check out this old school jewel.

  • i maybe irish but sean connery was the best, not pierce brosnan, sean connery rules.

  • Hahhahahah why is there a fart?

  • @Mrster because it adds to the..... stamina.....

  • It's a great Bond Movie too...

  • Can't get this out of my head!

  • @britcrit09 lol me too 0.o

    well listen it again heheh

  • nice Pierce Brosnan picture, that right HES the best james bond ^^

btw this theme gosh i cant get enought i just watched this movie and this music played like 5-6 time and still loved that part at 0:50 !!!

  • No, Dr. No is the best and the original theme songbut this is definitely top 10. Dr. No and You only live twice have great songs because they are amazing and they prove to be because they are used in countless bond films. Film is totally subjective and everyone is entitled to there own opinion and that is why the academy awards shouldn't exist because it's just a bunch of rich movie snobs opinions that usually aren't right.

  • @bums77 There are so many films to see Academy members vote the way there Hispanic maids tell them to vote. That's why "Titanic" won 10 Academy Awards.

  • this song has balls

  • This is my dad's favorite 007 theme. My favorite ones are the Pierce Brosnan ones.

  • Thanks for posting! All time best Bond theme song in my opinion.

  • Classic! From the #1 007 film. 007 fan and collector since 1981.

  • This is really great indeed.

  • This soundtrack is awesome. Too bad that the movie was shitty

  • @MegaRadioactivity I agree

  • one of best songs of 60s

  • film is crap but the song... amazing... it one hell of a song..

  • @dconij I know they should have ended the film with James Bond defeating the main villans once and for all after the death of Mrs Bond

  • Definitely a sleeper that they somehow keep swept under the rug.

  • best bond theme song

  • The Badass year of George Lazenby ;)

  • Oh man, this is by far the best Bond theme ever!

  • What is the song in the credits? I recognize it..

  • والله احلى اغنية

  • hallo ich bin deutscher und wir haben letztens 4:1 gegen euch engländer gewonnen ... aber ich mag trotzdem James Bond sehr gerne und hab alle Filme auf DVD.LG Tom

  • Some trivia for you all.

Lyrics were actually written for this theme. wouldn't be the same really

  • Lazenby WAS asked to play Bond again...its just too bad that Brosnon was asked also!!!!

  • havent they used this music now and then during the pierce films when he's taking on armies or escaping something? lol

  • I consider this the best Bond film theme music. George Lazenby was a good Bond, too bad he refused to make more. Diana Rigg was such a classy actress. I regret that the Avengers TV series she stared in, a couple of years before this fillm, are no longer shown on reruns.

  • @JDSFLA To be fair to George, it was half producers fault half Lazenby's. After his agent said things in a news interview, the producers thought Lazenby was leaving and Lazenby was under the impression that the producers did not want him so he did not pursue to fix communication. Had Lazenby pursued to straigten communication out, he would have been in DAF instead of Sean and DAF would have been a dark revenge story.

  • 0:05

  • I remember they did dis theme 2 wit da trailer for "The Incredibles." Of course I never got 2 finish da full Bond movie.

  • Blegh this just reeks of Lazenby.... >:(

  • great theme song and movie. Beautiful cimematography.

  • Fantastic Theme Song

    Terrible Actor

    Worst Film

    =]

If Only Connrey Was Bond 4 This Long Title

  • @kdotmj I thought Lazenby did well...the thing is we associate Connery as 'cool.'...do you really think we could see Connery in the last scene of this film crying after Tracey's death?...It would have ruined his image..

  • oh yeah, the song at the ends of the game "demolition city 1 & 2. possibly 3.

  • 2nd fav 1st is live and let die theme

  • wait....whats the song @ the end? i swear ive heard it before

  • who composed this?

  • If Sean Connery and Roger Moore in their prime had to fight each other Connery would win hands down he had that killer instinct but so too had Timothy Dalton who would have given him a run for his money

  • This was used in a movie of the serie '70 Ufo. I love this one!!!

  • weird opening ? wtf

  • Sean the best Bond. This the best opening theme. Just a touch of menace to go along with all the style that is James Bond. Great stuff...

  • Dude this is amazing. (Song not your petty comments on which bond is better)

  • I liked it even better on The Incredibles commercila than on James Bond...silly me :)

  • to my mind sean connery was the best bond!

  • This is considered the best in the Bond Series, personally it was like #3 or 4 what they did was bring in Big stars to strenghen A weak Bond but look at the footsteps he had to fill

  • I think of this song when I think of classic bond movies,it is awesome!

  • you are so right this sums up Bond in every way.........perfect

  • One of the best bond films, George Lazenby was the man Fleming thought was best as bond because his look and voice was how he imagined he would be.

  • @metallord999 fleming never met george he already as dead

  • "this never happened to the other fella" :)

  • My favorite Bond theme song!

  • It would be amazing if Bond 23 music for the titles didn't feature any lyrics or singing, and it was an instrumental just like this.

  • @amarsbarr

Yeah , that would be neat.

  • weight loss ad? please im skinny as a mf

    Gimme a couple pounds please....

  • I can't believe that this film is 40 years old and that was 20 years before Licence to Kill and 10 years before Moonraker

and also, 1969 was also the year that Hanna-Barbera gave us the world's 1st Dog Detective named Scooby-Doo and we also saw The Wacky Races given 2 spin-offs: The Perils of Penelope Pittstop and Dastardly and Mutley and their Flying Machines and we were also introduced to Sesame Street and The Bill Cosby Show and Here Come the Brides were in their 2nd Season on abc TV.

  • sean connery was the best ;)

  • No question about it. However, OHMSS is the best non-Connery Bond film.

  • I believe that Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Bond 23 are a trilogy. QoS kind of fell short of what I would call great, but I think that's more because its more of a transition between Casino Royale and Bond 23. As a standalone movie, I don't consider QoS as good as the other, but viewing it as a transition, I consider QoS a great movie.

Similar to how the 6th Harry Potter movie sucks on its own, but is a great buildup to Deathly Hallows.

  • The BEST BOND THEME EVER!!!! Yeaaaaa!!!!!

  • @Tomahawk511 With all due respect, that honor goes to Nobody Does It Better from TSWLM.

  • @reprobacious Well im sure there are other competitors for that top spot as well, including "Live and Let Die" by Paul McCarthey and "We have all the time in the world" by Louis Armstrong ;)

  • OHMSS has to be one of my favourite movies. George Lazenby was my favourite Bond because he just had the style and made some very funny one-liners. :)

  • ...worst Bond? Tim Dalton.

  • Well Tim Dalton was actually pretty good. He brought a new face to Bond, which is really similar the bond tht were in Ian Fleming's novels. Unlike the suave models tht Connery and Moore set, he is actually the first 'physical' bond who is always busy running around setting up the blueprint for Brosnan and Craig to follow. So he really took Bond franchise into a new level!! The least of the Bonds has to be either Lazenby or Niven although i really like them both.

  • So very true. In a lot of the other movies Bond is almost a superhero with no feelings at all.

  • If Connery had this movie its the best of all time.

  • I'd say Craig is the best bond ;)

although i couldn't really understood 'Quantum of Solace"

  • I think what they`re doing is a several-movies long story plot from Casino Royale towards a definite end. They`re allowing us how Bond changes throughout his career. A little bit like Bourne.

  • Well see, Craig pretty much achieved what Dalton achieved, being the battle scarred action hero who works for the UK gov't. Dalton is the first bond to set tht whole image onto the table. So u can say tht Craig is the Tim Dalton of today, same with Pierce but Pierce is more of a combination of other bonds, including Dalton. Now tht im thinking about it, i think Dalton is the better bond than Craig, considering w/o Timothy Dalton no Daniel Craig. ;)

  • YES. The guy Mathis points out in Quantum of Solace is the next bad guy. Hopefully Bond 23 will make Quantum a better movie.

  • Quantum ruled dude, as did Royale

  • I loved Royal. I liked Quantum, but the plot to me just kinda fell through at the end.

  • i love it! 0:29

  • incompetech(dot)com

    search under 'Royalty Free Music'

  • The best Bond opening.

  • Finally found the REAL THING (hate the mixes) .... a damn good instrumental, on the heels of our seeing George Lazenby for the first time in the opening sequence -- if you haven't, SEE IT -- I won't spoil it for you (the last seven words out of his mouth were priceless)

  • I know that's a classic line. :D

  • better than the 'official' bond theme

  • this theme is awesome

  • Whoa, this is so, so, similar to the music from the Depot in the GoldenEye N64 game! o_0

  • hmm.... I'm gonna check

lol, goldeneye is the best Bond game ever

  • funny at 0:04

  • this should hav been james bond's original theme song

    more drama in this song

  • i do not know whether to agree with u or not but it does make a good 007 theme song since it has more thrillere, where as the original seems to adventurous. A good debate.

  • Agreed, and it suggests more suspense and menace.. Music to clock baddies jaws to!

  • omg this is soooo good

  • The Best Bond Theme ever...!!

  • Best Bond theme.

  • Best Bond theme from the best Bond movie! If only Sean Connery was in it...it would have RULED!!!

  • Goerge lazenby was brilliant in this movie. Too bad he was only in this film.

  • I absolutely agree with you.

  • love the intro, especially the gag before the music starts when lazenby says "this would have never happend to the other one" - sorry, i saw it in german, so this is probably not the correct original line from him in english.

  • I saw it just 4 days ago, first time ever :|. I have the whole collection but i didn't want to touch this one, because i thought it would suck. OMG i was so fucking wrong. Ok it wasn't the best James Bond film, Casino Royal is. This one ends 3th. Live and Let Die second.

  • A classic theme from one of the most underrated Bond films ever. Ignore the rather slow start, although references to earlier films are interesting, and enjoy as the action hots up.

  • BEST BOND THEME!

  • stand up and salute..... this should be our national anthem

  • From across the Atlantic, your American cousin salutes.

British intelligence, for 450 years, is a wonder -- a constant, unceasing bulwark for your tough little island.

We Yanks forgot that little fact over the last decade.

  • agree 100%

  • this film is fucking great! I also like how this theme was used partially during the movie of view to a kill during the sking sccene

  • It took a bit to get going but was a good film. I love Lazenby's classic reference to Connery, this never happened to the other fellow. You could also assume from this that 007s were replaced.

  • Epicsfan

Lazenby could have turned into a great Bond, but the public wanted Connery back and then Connery demanded an enormous fee and put on a bored and cynical performance in Diamonds are Forever which descended into a rubbishy farce. OHMSS was a good film with a strong plot and very strong performances from Lazenby and Diana Rigg.

  • plykshow, thank you fotr down loading this I think its the best 007 movie ever! I know somwe would disagree but I did enjoy seeing savalas playing Blofeld. He did a great job. and 007 alomost became a husband. The best one ever in the series that continues today. 6 actors have played the role but everyuone seems to think Connery pulled off the best 007, I dont think so after watching this anyway. The skiing part were well done. great drama all the way through. Bond will never die. A great film.
