Wouldn't his sister and mother have been buried to deep in the snow after the avalanche? I assumed that the flesh they ate after the avalanche had to be from the people who died in it, not those who died before it.

They were held up in the fuselage for several days with a blizzard following the avalanche and had to eat some of the people around them. Who is never said though out of respect, since a share live in the same area still. That's one of the disadvantages of doing a documentary in under an hour is you miss the little things and only go for the major areas. I mean they go from day 17 to 43 in no time.
It makes me sick that anyone would call what these people did to survive wrong or sick. It is a human being's natural will to survive. These people did all they could to make sure they could get home and see their loved ones again. I don't think it is in any way right to critisize. Have you been in there situation? NO. And be lucky God didn't put you there. I believe with all my heart and soul that these people were and still are true heros' of survival and humanity. <3
@selfidentity1 Yeah they were going to play a rugby match so they were athletes pretty much in peak physical condition. Rugby is a very tough sport and takes crazy conditioning. Its like a cross btw football and soccer

if they were smart they could have created AC power by connecting bicycle pedals to a generating electro-magnet, connecting the DC batteries to this and then using a water-line tubing system to convert to electrode ion power which thus produces AC power. Then the radio works and they are home free. What idiots.

one of the problems with trying to get the radio working was that the radio ran off AC power from the electrical system in the plane, but the batteries are DC which is incompatible. Their plan was doomed to fail right from the start.
I can't see there being any signal in the mountain, there's no antenna's anywhere near where they were. A cell would be pretty useless I imagine. Youd need a satellite phone.
this is an amazing story of survival it is amazing that so many made it through the crash and that alot of those survived the cold and lack of food long enough to make it out alive well dont to all of them
