  • If memory serves me the police officer doesn't die and I think it was the rapist who tried to kill her. I really didn't understand though, why the little girl was in the desert. She made it seem less real by even. being there

  • The stupid show Criminal Minds totally ripped off that part at 4:06. That's some disturbing shit.

  • Maybe the answer's in the detail. I think it's ironic that he first says that there was no Medicine for what he had. Then she wants to sing with him. Maybe the singing WAS the medicine. In some weird way.

  • Even MACHETE is scared.

  • what happens to the little girl?

  • @FoxxieD What do you think happened to the little girl?

  • @DeadManSinging1 nothin, Garland went back to the plane and i guess she let him have to toy doll. she was all happy and waving by wen the plane took off.

  • @FoxxieD nothing, Garland went back to the plane and i gess she let him have the doll or sumthin but she was real kool with him..

  • @FoxxieD She lives. He sings with her and then he becomes happy or something. It's very entertaining. At the end, when the plane is crashing, he's singing the song with the Barbie doll all excitedly. And then he goes and plays poker. But you know.

  • A Classic :)

  • ''define irony.bunch of idiots dancing on a plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash''

  • Steve Buscemi ♥_♥

  • he looks like eilas from platoon

  • big up

  • He's right about working for some company for life though--then going to a retirement village---that is kinda insane--I've always thought this. Maybe i should be Garland Greene's friend--lol

  • @CaveGuy2008 "Follow not in the footsteps of the masters, but rather seek what they sought." -- Old asian proverb

  • @MiHiVidz Fuck an old asian rice eater's proverb

  • @CaveGuy2008 You have a very appropriate name there. Now fucking die in a corner somewhere.

  • @MiHiVidz Did you even graduate from kindergarden? least i can spell my name--urs is MiHiVidz-Cocksuckin punk--i wanna knock u out like Kimbo Slice

  • @CaveGuy2008 Your trolling is bad and you should feel bad.

  • @MiHiVidz I bet ur a rice eater?

  • @CaveGuy2008 If youre gonna troll, at least be interesting.

  • @MiHiVidz I'm interesting enough 4 u 2 keep responding.....?

  • "What do you want to do with him ?....I dont know, but this is no way to treat a national treasure"

  • @44Minutes100 Love your work

  • Garland Greene >>>>> Hannibal Lecter.

  • I love a movie where the bad guy gets away!

  • @gartnavel89 But, we're lead to believe the "bad guy" changed his ways and decided NOT to kill again, that's what I love <3 <3

  • Directors think it's an achievement making you relate to a serial killer. That's a sickness.

  • 3:10 I laughed so hard xD

  • What actually happened to the little girl?

  • @MegaMaverick1994 Nothing happened to her. Can't you see the scene where she is waving goodbye to Garland on the plane flying away ?

  • BEST character in the whole movie! Buscemi is awesome!

  • Garland was intrigued by the litte girls innocence, it was something rare and pure. There was nothing to harm in her. Hes seems beyond the Mental norm and operates under different morals than "Normal" people. These people I find the most fascinating.

  • 4:55 funny

  • One of the best villain psychos. And one of Mr. Buscemi's best performances.

  • Even Machete was scared of Garland Greene

  • HE'S GOT THE WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS

    haha love it ;)

  • The last scene would be lot better if Greene was painted as a Heroic Sociopath: where he likes to screw with the heads of people who he "thinks" are evil (conversation with Cage), and his victims were not really innocent.

You could have some wife beater in the background shout at his wife, then have Greene slowly put his drink down and say "One minute"

Had they done that, I wouldn't feel too bad knowing that the shenanigans of Cameron let loose a deranged serial murderer who's feeling lucky.

  • This movie is stupid but I love every minute of it. You don't watch this movie for the plot, you watch it for the creatively bizarre characters. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

  • ahaha Garland is the most educated con

  • Makes the Manson family look like the Partridge Family

  • @80zProduKT is there a difference?

  • @80zProduKT Hey, the Partridge Family could be pretty nasty. Look at what Danny B. did to Barry Williams in the boxing ring !! And I hear David Cassidy has a real mean streak.

  • Does the new shooter feel lucky? Well does he?" -"Yes, yes he does" Best movie scene

  • 2:46.. yes, THAT is insane and very sad.

  • i love it that diamond dog is terrified of taking of garlands mask and that cyrus is so impressed that garland is so good at what he does :)

  • "This one girl... I drove through 3 states wearing her head as a hat..." Fave quote lol

  • buscemi is excellent actor.

  • 3:10

  • When they first remove the mask I didn't recognize him until later in the movie, lol

  • What Garland says at 1:48 - was he talking about himself? or one of the other inmates.

  • @PandemicInfektion He's talking about another inmate, Billy Bedlam.

  • @DarkAlessa21 oh okay

  • hahaha....define irony a bunch of idiots dancing on a plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash!:p

  • That little girl is creepy. She meets some random creepy guy in the middle of the desert and just wants to sing with him?

At one time I thought to myself "Where are her parents?" Now I see the truth. They were murdered. Not by Garland Greene's hands, but by the little girl's.

  • I love how everybody is scared because Garland is a serial killer that kills just for the fun. But he doesn't kill anyone during the movie.

To be honest, he seems weird to me but also... nice. :P

I just love how strange he is.

  • @DirkAustin I haven't seen this directors cut version...

Is it still on youtube? If it is, could you send me a link?

  • Comment removed

  • @DarkAlessa21

What are you talking about, he does kill someone. The tied up police officer on the plane.

  • @Ilikemustard Actually, that was a directors cut I've never seen.

In the original movie this scene was never shown.

  • If i was like Garland Greene in the scene 1:39 where he takes his Mask of him...I would say Booh! to scare the Shit out of Him.

  • wearing her head as a hat fucking sick

  • the only reson this movie is tolerable to watch is because of john malkovich and steve buscemi

  • funny how in this hes a physco killer and in the movie billy madison with adam sandler he has a people to kill list

  • cool!

  • A very interesting character in a movie already rich with them. It is unfortunate that Hollywood isn't bright enough to come out with movies like this anymore.

  • I still dont get it, why serial killer who killed 42 people (women probably) did spare that girl? I watched this movie like 20 times in last ten years, it was movie of my childhood, but i never understood it. Anyone can explain? What that means? like he was rehabilitated by singing or what hehe

  • @Kominex because she was so innocent and pure. she wasn't scared of him - she didn't judge him when he said he was sick and she just accepted what he said. plus, like he said that most people kill out of necessity and only a few because of a desire and out of excitement. Those that do it out of excitement already have a set view of the type of people to kill - ie. im guessing his are women since he mentioned wearing one woman's head as a hat. the girl simply didn't spark that desire for him.

  • @Kominex I think it was something like he was moved by her innocence and decided not to do it. However, he may have been a killer of adults only and may never have harmed a child. Many murderers have strange codes of morality. They would not think twice about butchering scores of men and women but would revile in horror if it was suggested they had harmed a child.

  • What the fuck is that :d

  • I thought Steve Buscemi killed the girl in the movie when they show the broken cup and him carrying the doll for a prize possenion,I do not know in this part is in this clip....

  • Garland not killing the little girl shows he's rehabilitated, ANYONE CAN CHANGE. Dude still deserves to die and/or punished for life though.

  • what the fuck is that:D

  • I love this movie especially the part when garland says and one girl i drove through three sates wearing her head as a hat i think garland and swamp thing are awesome

  • so scary he makes marcellus look like a bitch

  • Im presuming that Greene has an autism disorder such as Asperger's syndrome as He displays a noticeably intelligent way of speaking, sociably awkward (i.e the little girl scene) and doesn't seem to have many friends or mix with Cyrus's gang at all and poe and baby'o seem to find him annoying.

  • @mickey8715 Love the analysis, but having autism disorder wouldn't make him a killer. Can a cold blooded killer be autistic too? Garland can be charming too! Did you see him at the end sipping a drink surrounded by girls? No social awkwardness there! Wish I was a psychatrist.

  • Had to gag 'em and bag 'em, spitters and shitters!

  • ppl kill for principles or resources

garland killed just for the lulz

  • he's the only one keeping this worthless piece of shit-movie above water.

  • "one girl, i drove through 3 states wearing her head as a hat" rotflol!! I laugh every time i hear that quote!

  • is garland singing hes got the whole world in his hands because God is trying to stop the plane?it sounds creepy and kind of symbolic

  • lol u look sick

  • LOL! He called Bundy, Dahmer and Gacy the great ones.

  • Last picked at kickball, late night sneaky uncle, whatever.Lol

  • Have you ever thought how interesting it would be if garland greene was president?

  • "shut the fuck up you freak!!"

  • @Googlystube LOL "WE'RE GONNA DIE!!" "IN HIS HANDS!"

  • love ur work

  • He acts like a fucking professional.

  • @EricDr4ven And for that marvelous Reservoir Dogs reference you win +100 internets

  • Love the end, and if you were wondering what happened to the little girl, he didn't kill her, you see her after they take off from the air field.

  • @Sephirothrko spoiler.

  • Is Garland's theme on the soundtrack? cause that music that plays when he is introduced is fucking awesomely evil

  • @XXXGRiDXXX Yup. It's a great soundtrack. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

  • Nicolas Cage is such a good actor, it's like you know what he's thinking all the time... take 2:16 you can see he's thinking "OH MY GOD! I GOT HANDS!"

  • 'My first thought would be.... a lot.'

  • I love this movie and especially Garland Greene.

The first time I saw this, I laughed my ass of. XD

I think Steve Buscemi is a very underrated actor. He played Garland very well.

  • incredible movie and incredible character garland greene :D i just finished watching the movie from a local TV station, and when i saw the part of the little girl and he started having those weird view/looking when he was looking at her i said in my mind OMG that little girl isn't supposed to be there XDDD lolol, but then i found a grateful point in the movie.. at the end, he got cured and playd a roll in the casino :D:D woooooooooooow

  • @TheMasamura112 the end was so touching xD

  • "thats garland green man"

    "shit thats garland green man"

  • "There is no medicine for what I have." - best line in the movie!

  • "What if I told you insane was working fifty hours a week in some office for fifty years at the end of which they tell you to piss off; ending up in some retirement village hoping to die before suffering the indignity of trying to make it to the toilet on time? Wouldn't you consider that to be insane? " I would watch an entire movie about Garland. He's such a well written and compelling character. You can't help but love him.

  • What the fUCK Is that?!

  • Steve Buscemi is a reason why this movie is good. The best character ever! Especially the way where he found he's sick, thanks to that girl & didn't kill her. Too bad it wasn't the scene in this clip where he sang that song in plane.

  • I have this kid on my bus who looks exactly likehim, but in an 8th grade version! It is so creepy!

  • I love how Garland keeps talking to Cage and his friend and their reactions :)

  • mas enfermo que mi pichula

  • "love your work"; John Malkovich to Steve Buscemi; brilliant in its perversity

  • I didn't think yanks understood irony.

  • ...love that part...nd yah one of the best movie ever,,,

  • most badass intro ever.

  • I love that part...

    Little Girl: Are you sick?

    Garland:Why do you ask?

    Little Girl: You look sick.

    Garland:I am sick.

Little Girl: Do you take medican?

Garland:There is no medican for what I have.

Little Girl:*Makes an oh expression.* *Face lights up* Wanna sing?

  • You realize Garland is fucking smart right??? Sometimes people that are killers are fucking smart... And for all of you who think he wanted to eat the little girl he didn't.. He wanted to hang out.. And he wasn't a canibal he was just a killer

  • Little girls are so nice and in the end because of that sweet little girl he go better.... It's just to sweet...

  • haha this is one of my all time favorite movies

  • steve buscemi and john malkovich are two of the best actors in con air

  • hes my fav person in movie con air and the girl survived

  • what happend to the little girl?

    I still can't figure out.

  • whats the name of the song when they are flighting,

it goes like ....viva elabama or somthing

    whats name of song?

  • @jskillzz1 It's Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd skynyrd.

  • Thanks for uploading BirdStufferBob, "love your work!"

    lol

  • @Emikero lol me too i was like get away from him hes gonna kill you

  • When I first saw the film, like everyone else seeing this movie, you would have thought he was gonna' kill the little girl.

  • @ROBLOXingHabbo --yeah, I woulda thought too. But oh so awesome that it seemed she might have possibly almost just about nearly reformed him. ;)

  • @ROBLOXingHabbo yeah and especially since he said that moments of levity cause him pain. lol

  • @ROBLOXingHabbo I still don't know why he didn't kill the little girl (but I am glad he didn't). I don't even know he is supposed to be cured at the end of the movie. I didn't think he was. But he was changed that's for sure.

  • I always used to think the little girl was entirely in his head.

  • @arbitterm You're one up on me. I reckoned he was going to kill her by the way he was looking at her. :S

  • I love how garland is so chill even though bullets are flying everywhere and the plane crashes while he singing "He's got the whole world in his hands.".....thats priceless

  • @TheStefHarrison lol hes so crazy its funny lol i mean hes killed so many people he thinks cyrus is a bad guy lol hes soo badass

  • Put the right fucking criminal on the right fucking plane.

  • Last scene is epic :D

  • this is one of my favorite movies

  • It's pretty twisted how the most dangerous, psychopathic maniac on the plane gets to have a happy ending playing craps at a casino and sipping margaritas, supposedly cured.

  • @1985browneyedgirl I didn't realize he is supposed to have been cured, however I am sure at some point the authorities would pick him up.

  • @WheelsRCool, yeah guess so. Maybe it was some kind of redemption coz even though he was supposed to be the most notorious prisoner on the plane, he didn't kill or hurt anyone during the whole movie. He just sat there telling stories. Gotta be one the best movies of the 90's.

  • @1985browneyedgirl I saw an unrated cut or something where he kills one of the guards. Cyrus asked him if he felt better. He only smiled.

  • @DirkAustin, really? didn't know that thx for info. Woulda liked to have seen that clip. Although it's funny how he's so relaxed watching all the chaos on the plane, esp. when he starts singing. lol

  • nicholas cage is a great actor

  • to take into prospective buscemis good acting, take a look at how he nails the garland character. if this had been mr pink, he would be like the other thugs. as rockhound, he would not eve be in this movie. what i mean is that his characters are very different yet he does a good job playing them

  • it is so sad steve buscemi gained attention after this movie. he is always so great in all his roles.

he has a natural sinister look. he is naturally comical as well.

johny depp on the other hand tries to create these looks but never really nails them. what im saying, is that it seems to me that johny depp tries to act like steve buscemi unsuccesfully

  • buscemi is the best actor

  • "Define irony: Bunch of idiots dancing on a plane made famous by a band that died in a plane crash."

I can't help it, every time I hear "Sweet Home Alabama" I gotta quote that line!!

  • @JLJ061

    Me too! :D Lol

  • Its Doctrine Dark!

  • Is Garland cured after he meets the girl. I was sort of thinking the same, but exactly what is it that does this. Can someone explain it?

  • @mrjupip Shows that one act of kindness has unimaginable effects. Sometimes all our troubles are spawned from loneliness or lack of love, yet sometimes all it takes for these seemingly overwhelming pains to be ameliorated is the compassion of a single little girl.

  • @stinkstinkstink111 ye, i think ur right.

  • @mrjupip When she asks if he is sick he snaps into the real world... Again little girls are too nice

  • If anyone thinks Cage's acting is bad in this, check out a movie called Firebirds. Thats when he was REALLY bad.

  • One of my all time favorite movies ever, Nicolas cage was so cool in the 90's. Face/Off, Con Air & The Rock to Bangkok Dangerous? He's still cool and Steve Buscemi was so creepy in here, between him, Malkovich, Ving Rhames, M.C Gainey & Danny Trejo, they were the coolest bad guys in the movie IMO. Awesome scene!

  • Steve Buscemis best part so far!

  • the first time i saw this movie, and garland greene stepped out of the truck, my thought really was "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?"

  • i really don't know which one is the most frightening: buscemi's psychopath i-will-kill-you face or nicholas cage's acting...

  • love the ending one second hes like a massive killler then hes gambling in vegas having fun LOL

  • I love this movie, it's such a cheesy, cool over-the-top action movie! Nic Cage performance was quite bad, but the bad guys did a wonbderfvul job, Steve Buscemi, Danny Trejo, Ving Rhames and of course John Malkovich as Cyrus 'da muthafuckin virus''!

  • that scene with the little girl always creeps me the fuck out.

  • @win70supershadow

there is no medicine for what i have

  • 5:19 Sippin' a margarita and standing next to his next victim

  • Only Nick Cage (the actor version of Chad from Nickleback IMO) would confront a cerial killer

  • Define Irony~Bunch of Idiots dancing on a plane made famous by a band made famous... in a plane crash.

  • Fail.

  • @TheDelranActor07

You messed it up a bit the actual quote goes something like this:

"Define irony. Bunch of idiots dancing on a plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash."

Is one of my favorite quotes no disrespect intended just wanted to correct it

  • No matter what they do/are, everybody loves a crazy freak.

  • "Define Irony, A bunch of idiots dancing on a plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash."

  • @Hatinonthehaters That part made me laugh so hard. I woke up my dad

  • @Hatinonthehaters SHUT THE FUCK UP DONNY

  • From 2:47-3:04 you better listen to what he says coz hes bloody right!!!

  • 4:25, i thought he wass gonna rap the gurl....

  • Define irony...

  • 4:23 look at that face. >_> I thought he was gonna slaughter the little girl.

  • He's a font of misplaced rage
