  • thumbs up for Principal Bad-Ass and his family!

  • watashi mo badass dai-sensei ga sukidesu!

  • Mr & Mrs Badass..... I would watch it

But that was amasing of them to do that for you i don't think many would.

  • Mr & Mrs Badass..... I would watch it

But that was amasing of them to do that for you i don't think many would.

  • It wierd watching your youtube video on television back on youtube =p

  • your discouraging reading for kids >.< jkjkjk I would have talked to an awesome teacher like you ^w^

Why are there blackouts? Are they fixing the electricity? or do they not have enough to go around.. or however electricity works?

  • What are your thoughts about returning to the USA, now?

  • Principal Badass is my new hero. He and his family are so sweet, I know I would have cried if I was there.

  • Do you know what the NHK-TV launched serving English news and information by the sub-sound?

  • Aww, it's good to see that you're starting to readjust to normal life, even with a few post-disaster changes!

  • Oh god this is just so absolutely wonderful, the story about Principal Badass and his family. Caring when other people feel bad even if you maybe just know them briefly. That's something I miss in my country (Germany). One day i had a 1hour ride home on busses and trains and i was crying my eyes out every second, there was not one person reacting.

When I was visiting the US a few years back I was shocked how nice people are. I guess I'd die from shock if i ever went to Japan.

  • I officially love Principal Badass.

    Badass ga daisukidesu.

  • It would be funny if you made a sign sort of like famous restaurants have where they say, "We were featured in some kinda food magazine"...you could make one that says, "This pantry was featured on Dateline..." lol!

  • Principal Badass has just ACTUALLY become a badass in my mind for this.

  • i was telling myself why dont you just make home-made bread i bet you can find the ingredients or something and then it occured to me oh right she doesnt have an oven so then bread pancakes will be the best solution that i can think of :)

  • i woder if you are going to be interviewed when you get home back to america

  • Principal Badass is pretty Badass. :)

  • "Are you hungry?"

I would have started bawling at that point....

  • Add me on Facebook, I feel sad that no epic day now.

  • I was just thinking: you got a hell lot of optimism ... I mean: always stressing the positive aspects of things, like:

"Yeah, we got this terrible natural desaster going on and atom plants are exploding and everything ... but lets take it from the positive side: the school lunch factory broke down. Yay!"

Do you have to go to school tomorrow? ... I heard something on NHK that people should reconsider leaving the houses because of the changing winds from northern direction ... Gambatte ne!

  • Aloha Meaphe,

That's funny because I *thought* that was your pantry. I think it was on CNN too actually in some background video they ran...today was the day we were supposed to start our family vacation in Japan- Glad you are well girl!

  • I seriously wanted to hug Principal Badass and his family when you said that they'd come over. That is just so amazingly sweet of them and it's also really good to know that you weren't completely alone that night. That story really made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :P

  • Are u on facebook ?

    what's ur name ?

  • Principal Badass is pretty cool, always thinking about others.

  • 1:50 - Just in case you wanna know how to make them: you gotta use white flowers for it, cut them and slice up the peduncle and then place each strip into a glass with coloured water. The plant will accumulate the water and the colour will dye the flower. After doing so, cut off the slices and put the flower in ordinary water.

2:40 - Oh my God! Thats so weird!

6:30 - Those people are so nice!

  • Hey, I haven't commented in a while (I'm the dude who has talked about lunches before. Man those quiet groups are annoying. But yeah, if they all read I just annoy them like "OH BOY WHATCHA READIN? IS IT INTERESTING"). Anyway, I'm happy to see you're okay.

  • that was pretty awesome of the badass family to go see you after the quake, glad to see you seem to be holding up much better now

  • Stay safe dear

  • I'm going to have to look into joining twitter. You are just the most interesting person.

  • Aww, what a sweet time for people to come together then when the wife and the principal came over. To even drag their son along for the personal journey to your apartment. You should personally thank them and offer make them a P&J sandwhich or something else, no pressure! It's good to see you have lights for a while anyway. Good luck and thank you for your always coming with your interesting videos with stories added.

  • look at you makin the news

  • wow, i can't believe they used yours.

  • Aw, Principal Badass and his family sound so sweet!

  • Meagan, you are an inspiration! Your honesty and your presence through this is amazing to watch. Your life changed forever on Friday, and mine changed as well, through the "relationship" I have with you, and so many others, through YouTube. It has made what would have been another global television event into a personal one. Thank you for sharing your life with us this way. The mom in me is proud of you and wants to give you a really, really huge hug! Wish I could send you some bread!

  • @lunahart You know, I skyped with my parents today and we dedicated a long conversation about the complete lack of hugs I get in Japan. At this time in my life, I could really use a hug. (and some bread.)

  • I love your story !

    And btw, you're cute :)

    Thanks

  • Umm...I think its on dateline because of my mom oops. I showed her the video because i kept talking about you and she put it on a website that has a lot of people

  • @arsnel366 Really? What website?

  • @meaphe Well i asked her and she says it wouldnt be on dateline because thats a liberal website and she is a republican but she put it on hillbuzz

  • You can change the color of a flower with food coloring. Put it in water with the food coloring in it and the color travels up into the petals. You can get multiple colors by splitting the bottom and putting each part in different colors.

  • You can't eat sandwiches for lunch every day!

  • @MurdocLC WATCH ME!

  • BADASS FAMILY. lovely. :)

  • Are the blackouts just for residential buildings or will they affect stores and schools too?

So good to hear that you're doing well, and go Principal badass and Mrs Badass and Badass Jr for taking care of you and being awesome! I'd probably have a panic attack if I were alone through that!

  • @xxDWL They affect everything. Neighborhood-wide.

    "Badass Jr."! Love it!

  • Those kids dont know what they are missing by reading a book instead of talking to you.

  • do u ever think about going back to the usa since u live (kinda) close to those power plants who seem to get out of control more and more? :/

  • What's not fun is having a blackout during a class where you're used to using computers. @.@ Ended up having to pull out an old lesson from my predecessor. On the upside, the kids did great! Only half the class showed up for school, though...

  • @nerdlass As far as I could tell, everyone was pretty much at school for us.

  • PB and umeboshi onigiri? D:

  • Your new bike is AWESOME, the other can pack up and go home ;D

  • Sorry that this happened while you are in Japan.

The first day of blackout was cancelled in many areas because each of us tried to use less electricity. And we are figuring out many ways to deal with this difficulty, which are beautiful things.

  • where is the dateline video?

  • @sharpezor I put it in the description just now. :)

  • @iwantsomthingtoeat WHY THANK YOU!!

  • I don't think the electricity thing is going to get better for some time. Go and buy one of those huge flashlights. Don't worry about replying to our messages during this time. It's for your reading enjoyment to take your mind off other things for a short period of time. It will also tell you if all of us are listening to your class vlogs...Mea Sensei.

  • Stay strong Meaphe. Every time I tweet any news I think of you. ;)

  • @MattEureka And thank you so much for keeping up witht hat.

  • my cousin was asking me about these roses just a month ago. anyways, the "before earthquake clip" seems SO .....unrealistically peaceful and wonderful now.

  • @rinyrainy I know, right? It would be even more insane if the camera had continued rolling so it would start with the pretty flowers, then suddenly everything's shaking...

  • Principal Badass is indeed a badass.

  • I saw your clip on Dateline too! Thought about saying something, but I didn't know how you would react and I wouldn't want to stress you out anymore than you already are. I'm glad to see you are doing well. がんばって!

  • In my head, I saw Principal Badass wearing the epic flower on his lapel, all through the meal.

  • @ctso74 He has his lapel in his office, and I was staring at it practically throughout the entire conversation. He noticed I was staring at it and he chuckled about it, saying it was too big and colorful. I told him he looked "kakoi"~"cool"!

  • Good to see you are doing better! :) I hope things continue to improve for you and Japan as a whole! What other places have shoes for outside and inside?

  • I was the one who tweeted you the clip, Lexi :)

  • @Mizznewbooty018 Thanks so much! :D

  • The fact that P-Badass, his AMAZING wife and Son came over to see you on probably one of the scariest nights of your life when you were feeling alone is just testement to the profound graciousness, generosity and reverence of the Japanese people. It was probably not their finest few hours either, yet they reached out to help you. It really moved me. I think we can all learn a hell of a lot from the Japanese people on how to treat others and deal with a crisis - by stick together. Peace, Meagan!

  • @balloonaticfanatic When they showed up at my front door step, I was so glad it was dark because I pretty much just started bawling.

  • @meaphe Bless you hun, you've been through alot these last few days and so far from home. What you need is a tub of ben and jerries, an american movie and a bed thats not a damn futon! Oh well lets cross our fingers and hope epic day is still happening! :) x

  • Did Dateline pay you? They should have! I was on "Lopez Tonight" and got paid 2 grand. Yeah, I know, he's a hack.

Your prowess as a vlogger is thoroughly established, and I'm along for your ride. Stay strong! GAMBATTE!

  • @bundangbear Hahaa, no they didn't pay me. But I don't really care. It's fine with me. :)

  • Yes! I've seen those roses before. I believe they get those colors from simply adding dye to the water. I'm not sure. All I know is they're very expensive! XD

  • I feel sad for that bike. It looked soooo aloone! Haha. jkjk

  • I live in Illinois, there's only been two earthquakes in my lifetime and I slept trough them both lolol
