Goodness, I thought it was just ignorant woman I was dating when I tried to explain what a PREQUIL was aka star wars. @Madhofd wrong. it's called "ip man ZERO" because it's about a younger ip man (you said it yourself: "the legend is BORN" ;) ). the main actor, Dennis To, can already been seen in ip man 1 and 2 in different roles.

This is IP Man - The legend id born.
They used the same actors and the fat man is used to play as the old IP Man(original). So then the younger ip man is introduced in the movie.

It's not really ipman3 (which will tell the story of ipman teaching bruce lee)

@SteveFusionX actually Ip Man 2 was suppose to be about teaching bruce lee but he did not get the film rights or something to show it. thats why they just show bruce lee as a child in 2, and as far as i know there is no announcement of a 3rd just yet.

it's a lousy prequel. cause in this movie they made ip man learn this modified wing chun stuff and if this movie is on the same continuity as the other two ip man movies it doesn't make sense since ip man in the other 2 movies use classical wing chun. O_O
