  • 0:04 that's what she said

  • i cnt watch #3

  • I have black iron oxide not red, will black work??

  • Do you Have to use Iron Oxide , can i do it with out it?

  • @ardvarkanimation09 It won't work nearly as well.

  • I have a question: When i try to make r candy, after cooking, i let it cool, but when cool, it still remains soft, not hard rock candy, and when I try to ignite it, it ignites for short periods instead of burning equaly. Sorry for my bad english, and thanks.

  • but the barbecue was on or off?

  • u should add some spaghetti and meatballs to that an eat it

  • mmmmm peanut buttter

  • I was testing a small piece by lighting it. I wasnt wearing gloves and planned on pulling away as soon as it ignited. I never had time to pull away!! It ignited the whole 2-3 inch piece in just over 1-2 seconds. All the Hot gases and Flames Burned by Hand like "wax".. I couldnt open or close it was VERY painful.. Luckily it was mainly 2nd degree burns. My thick skin callouses melted together. I stuck my hand in a towel and tray of ice- Right to the ER! Use a STICK LIGHTER AND wear gloves !!

  • by the way for those of you who are intemadated by people making you scared of this fuel, the fiel is very safe thats why the army uses it in the nike hercules missels, it take a strong spark of open flame toi ignite it, static will also ignite it, keep your heat below 300 dgress thats the danger point by if it ignites it will only burn not exsploid, hiting it with a hammer wont do any thing but i addvise you to use a wooden dowel rod for pounding, only because of static, have fun

  • years and years ago im 60 now, i heard of useing parfin / wax for rocket fuel instead of sugar, anyone ever try that? if you do let me know how well it works, i use to be a missel man on the nike hurcules missels ive seen the solid fuel its the same stuff we are mixing now same color same hardness, we use to take peaces from spent rocket boosters and burn them the burn is the same too solid rocket boosters, Dave*

  • iron oxide speeds up the burn rate almost dubble the rate it burns, 1/2 grams per tol mix of 52 grams

    kno3=30 grams

    sucrose confection sugar=15grams

    corn syrup=7 grams

    red oxide= 1/2 gram

then cook on grill at 250 degress

hope this helps a bit! Dave

  • how much water should i use with those ratios?

  • just enough water to melt the suger and desolves the kno3 and iron oxide not much water, your rocket molds should be prepaird long before cooking the mix, and iron oxide stains your hands so be careful, its a colloring for bricks, a little goes a long way! the least i could get was a ten pound bag was $20.00 at a building supply outlet, took three days to get it, plus dont alow your mix to get stiff before puting it in the molds should be runnie, it will harden in the mold's! Dave!

  • wow that mix has a nice burn rate, my only problum is finding red iron oxide anbody know where i can buy it in the united states, Dave

  • I thought u were dumb by cooking fuel over an open flame. Now I think you are retarded by igniting a sample right next to the full batch. You truly are not smart, please stop making dangerous mixtures before you give the sport a bad name.

At david1513: Red Iron oxide can be easily purchased at many ceramic supply places. Call around, I found some only a few minutes drive from my house.

  • ever since the 9/11 thing in america chemicals are hard to obtain iron oxide is one of them, magnesum is another, and any oxidizers, and if you order to much of them the FBI pays you a vist, and there not nice when thay come visting your home! Dave

  • Thank you i bought 10 pounds at a building supply company for $20. i got the dark red

  • Cool! I forgot they use it as dye. I wonder how pure it is? At how little is used in the mix, it probably won't matter even if it is 50%. 10lbs should last you many many moons.

  • its a die a pigment cant be purer then it is my sugestion is to get a lighter color because it will stain your hand's red, there's lighter colors then what i ordered, as for the amount? the more you use the faster it burns a 1/2 gram per 130 gram's tol mix of fuel. it dont half to be exact, try to keep your hand's out of the mix and the iron oxide because it is a oxidizer like Kno3 is, but its not as violent as kno3, yes 10 pounds is much more then i wanted, but i can always put it in cement,

  • @david1513 you can buy it on almost any fireworks making website.

  • ebay

  • thats horrible my mix is why better

  • why the hell do you need to make rocket fuel

  • What a shitty one. No offence. Look at mine.

  • i recommend to use as rocket fuel: fertilizer sugar and gasoline

  • ya man good idea lol

  • @FailedSquare yeah hamas uses it for qassam rockets

  • Is that Thermite?!

  • no. thermite is aluminium and iron oxide and some other secret ingredients.

  • No, Thermite is aluminum powder and ferric oxide (Fe2O3). you mix the two in a 2:3 ratio aluminum powder to ferric oxide.

Once those are mixed you have thermite, but to ignite it it is recommended that you use potassium permanganate and glycerin.

  • ferric oxide... aka iron oxide.... aka rust.

  • Well Rust is Fe2O3 and FeO, and it happens that FeO doesn't really produce the thermite reaction... I just tried to specify and elaborate that there's no 'secret' ingredient.

  • this happened to me,I lit a sample and a spark jumped into the main contaner ignighting it and giving me 3rd deg burns,

    BE CAREFULL!!!!

  • I know how that feels mate... :(

I wz making blk powder and tar rocket fuel when the whole thing jst ignited ( overheated) and got my left wrist like 50 burned ( 1-3 degree burns)...terrible thing to live through...

I dunno how bad were yours and how much of yrslf u have ingured but I'm gonna say to all da people who are reading:

Always think about your SAFETY FIRST! Try to protect any open skin and body parts.

This is, ofcourse, a fascinating hobby but horrible things CAN happen...dammit :P

  • idiot you do it away from the main batch

  • ya well when your 17 your an idiot, your bulletproof, invicible etc

  • unless someone shoots you or lights your batch of rocket fuel on fire.

  • @davetileguy i burnd a whole pan of kno3 in my house by accident

  • @davetileguy your so full of shit. fuck off child. can see through your lies even on youtube.

  • @UndoneB4Broken whaaaa??? uhh? I'm lying about my scars?

  • @davetileguy hope u r completly recoverd.... from ur burns

  • does it dry up in air tight container?

  • yep

  • mmmm good rocket fuel...

  • sorry is this the page for that lovely red barbeque sauce it tastes so good -though not quite like a rocket up your ass but quite similar

  • i'm sorry to say but not safe to have an open flame

  • indeed

  • Mmm.. Tomato sauce! Ghaaahg :drools:

  • he sounds mildly retarded.

  • keep cocking lol ... when will you eat that so we can see you fly while your ass acting as nozzle ...

  • 8:00

  • Dude you should use your skills to make something useful like crystal meth.

  • hey dumb fuck! .. your gardening glove is on upside down

  • lol actually they make gloves like that with the grip thing on both sides

  • verry smart to test on that close distance off the pan !

when a spark comes in your fucked

  • He put it next to the spoon covered with the stuff. He also lit it on wood and in front of his face. xD Not very safe.

  • @yaventil ?? it takes 10-20 seconds with a open flame to light i dont think a fukin spark will do much

  • ok I have a better way.Cook the rcandy without the iron oxide, why I used one drop to enough rcandy to make a great engine.Mixed it into the rcandy after rcandy was made without it.Increased burn time ten fold.Watch for my next launch.Frist one was dramatic check it out.Got 2,000 feet in the backyard

  • what was the first ingrident

  • OMG testburn so close to a panfull of propellant :s

  • yeah and his gloves is full of it also :D

  • cool i make some for my child

  • but if you purify it,

    then,

    yes it is.

  • 150g KNO3

    150ml water

    51g money

    3g iron oxide (red)

  • where can u get kno3 please respond asap?!

  • lowes, ebay, home depot, pharmacy stores. For lowes and home depot look for stump remover.

  • buy strawberry fertlizer or stump remover

  • dont use fertilizer unless u want to poison urself.

  • Ingredients???

  • hehe, at the start it looked like some hot mexican sauce

  • lol

  • huge black mark, on ur thing

  • Hey, Kitron try this,

Leave out the honey and Fe-ox. and substitute this - for X amount of Fe-ox add 2x powdered aluminum and for the honey use Knox, Jello or any other kind of gelatine. You still have to stir but faster as it's cooking. Tell everyone how that works with the pretty orange fire.

  • i am italian buta what is corn syrup?? is oil?

  • Sugar syrup

  • It is a lot like sugar syrup but it is made form corn.

  • how long in total do u have to cook it and stirr it

  • ba muito tri isso

  • what i need ? i cant reed it ! pleas help !

  • red iron oxide, kno3, sugar, corn syrup

  • ou ty, where can i gett corn syrup ?

  • dominicks, walmart, walgreens, any grocery store, marked as "Corn Syrup" lol

  • sorry, in my cuntri we dont have stuffs like corn syrup, so can i replace it whit something els ?

  • good to hear that it works

  • sweet i finally made some fast burning Rcandy but i don't use the bright red Iron oxide like you do i use kinda orange/brown one but it works great

  • Great movie mate!

  • Very very fast fuel. I enjoyed the video, thanks for the composition. I might try some stingers with it. If i do it'll be on my video list.
