I grew up there and It has claimed a lot of boats over the years , I don't recall anything like this , but it changes every day, very shallow , and a pretty fast current . Very sad

Jupiter inlet is a nasty inlet! Its a river that flows into the ocean and the prevailing winds are out of the east in winter creating an almost constant wind against tide situation. There is a definite technique for returning into the inlet. If you try to rush it , this is what can happen. My dad knew Tom and said he was very experienced at running this inlet. Very sad he died from this

Lifeguards pulled Henry from the water. He was rushed by boat to a near -by marina where c.p.r was performed.

Friends say Henry suffered a broken neck, broken ribs, multiple contusions and cannot breath on his own.

He died three days later at St. Mary's Medical Center.
