I must say i came back the iraq war about 1 or 2 years ago and well belive me i have seen a lot of dead bodys of marines who died servering the U.S.A i have torn off dog tags i have even been injured and got a purple heart it is a great honor

Stop-loss is not about having to return to duty but about not having an ETS date so they can keep you there after you have completed a tour. Do you not know that??????

I was told to watch Stop loss and I refused. I have no interest in watching a movie about some chicken shit punk who refuses to return to combat duty. It's OK if his fellow Soldiers return to combat duty but NO! not him and I ask why? I have not one bit of respect for a coward! I wish I could go back to active duty. Its something I can't explain so I won't even try.

You just dont know how good you have it here in a free country, where you can be whatever you want. Others dont have that choice but they should have that choice, that freedom. i just herd this song today and it remides me of my cousin... he died a couple of days ago and he was in the air force... he didn't die b/c of that but when he went off the Gwam(sp?) a couple of months ago he sang this to his family and fieance (sp?) and him and his fieance (sp?) finaly set a date for the wedding the day that he died... he died that night

I just recently had a friend of mine die overseas in Afghan. It really hits hard. We told each other to wait back home when we get back from Iraq/Afghanistan and have a beer together. I don't know anyone who's fighting overseas...and i hate to admit it, but i used to be against the war. but i was naive and wrong. I didn't realize the sacrifice those families give or what they go through until last summer when a friend of mine told me that her older brother was killed. I went to the funeral and i admit, I cried. I felt terrible for cursing those men so long ago. but ever since, those men and women are in my prayers

We can never thank these Americans as much as they deserve. Regardless of our beliefs they left their homes for reasons they thought were right. If anything don't forget that they are our brothers and sisters and when they are laid to rest they gave it all for family, friends, and country so thank you to all that serve and have served in our American armed forces.
