Grant first appeared, along with Trevor, Sypha and Alucard in Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse. That grant was more like a pirate mixed with an ape looking at his ability to hang from ceilings and throwing knives.

Trevor indeed married Sypha back then but I didnt knew Grant has a crush for her.

I think Aeon was a drug induced idea. In Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, the guardian of time was Saint Germain, not a crappy Soma Cruz lookalike. Of course Saint Germain was kind of weird...

As for the writing... Castlevania had a lot of games with a good story and writing, Judgment just isn't one of them.

@SevasTra132 late reply is late. back when their game came out they didn't have complex stories like we do now. On top of that, the japanese text can fit in smaller spaces. at the time, when porting the games for english, the same # of text boxes would remain, so we had to sacrifice plot in order to fit words in the small space. Translating wasn't great either. Result: simpler, less complex stories. This is just developing the characters a bit. I find it interesting to think he liked her too.
