I was a vegetarian for 15 years, I spent a year away from home in another country. I lived off of rice and fruit for 5 months and ended up eating fish out of sheer hunger.

I have recently given up eating meat. I am suprized by how many people want tyo voice their opinions on how i shouldnt take meat out of my childrens diet. That shocks me. I was a vegetarian for 15 years, I spent a year away from home in another country. I lived off of rice and fruit for 5 months and ended up eating fish out of sheer hunger.
I orginally gave meat up because it made me throw up, that started happening again soon after,
I have given up meat again and I can't tell you how much better I feel. I really hope that others can see that meat is not needed - nature provides proteins and amino acids naturally.

I have recently given up eating meat. I am suprized by how many people want tyo voice their opinions on how i shouldnt take meat out of my childrens diet. That shocks me. If i am no longer eating something because A its bad for me Bglobal impact C raising consciousness how can i then feed it to my babies?? I cannot. im all for your attributes in helping to spread the knowlege of the illuminati agenda. i disagree with your meat eating philosophy though, it has always been built into human nature to be carnivourous. i can quite positively state that generaly, in the western world at least, that when an animal is slaughtered for food it has nothing to do with ritualistic ceremonies.

If one engages all material things in relation with the loving service of the Lord, one is situated in yukta-vairagya, proper renunciation. In this material world, nothing should be accepted for one's sense gratification: everything should be accepted for the service of the Lord.

They are using the same things we are using to build the temple--earth, water, fire, and air.

They are mixing them together to make bricks and cement. But since the building is not being used for Krsna, it is material. Only if the building is used for the purposes of Krsna is it spiritual. This is proper renunciation, yukta-vairagya. The philosophy of Krsna consciousness is that although the elements of this material world are separated form Krsna, we can use them for Krsna and thus spiritualize them.

Again the same example: A tape recorder is material, but it can be used for Krsna's purpose. That is how we are writing books--recording them on a tape recorder. This is yukta-vairagya, proper renunciation. There is no need to give up this earth, water, fire, and air, as the Mayavadi philosophers say. You can utilize them in Krsna's service. After all, it is all Krsna's energy.

It is a different science, and in the days gone by such science was cultivated in the land of Bharata-varsa. The subtle science of chanting hymns is also material, but it has yet to be known by the modern material scientists. Subtle material science is not spiritual, but it has a direct relationship with the spiritual method, which is still subtler. A chanter of hymns knew how to apply the weapon as well as how to retract it. That was perfect knowledge.

He applied it, being afraid of his imminent death, and thus the practice was not only improper but also irreligious. It is wrong, however, to think that simply by becoming a vegetarian one can avoid transgressing the laws of nature. Vegetables also have life, and while it is nature's law that one living being is meant to feed on another, for human beings the point is to recognize the Supreme Lord.

Thus one should not be proud of being a strict vegetarian. Animals do not have developed consciousness by which to recognize the Lord, but a human being is sufficiently intelligent to take lessons from the Vedic literature and thereby know how the laws of nature are working and derive profit out of such knowledge. If a man neglects the instructions of the Vedic literature, his life becomes very risky.
