I remember watching this film as a kid and loving it. I suppose it ticks all the right child pleasing boxes, bright psychedelic colours and goodies vs baddies, etc. However, watching it again now makes me cringe. Its so fucking syrupy! When I was small I liked Rainbow Brite and her rainbow horse, but now I want the badass stormy horse and winter girl to win!

When I first watched this years ago, I thought Onyx (the robotic horse) was all black. Maybe it was the color settings on my TV or something. But I guess dark blue colors are often a substitute for black in animation.

Oh my goodness I had the doll, she was so pretty her hair was made of yellow yarn and the clothes were sparkly and multiple colors. Rainbow brite was my favorite doll I ever had. I wish I would had kept it but I think someone stole it from me. This brings back memories
