I would actually really like, no love SNSD if they just ditched the sexy concept, and promoted actual songs like this for the younger generation of girls. If they made song like this more often, I'm sure they'd actually be antied very, very, very little. I actually let my neice listen to this song. I love their voices in this. i luv sunny's voice its so nice. well at least i think its her at 1:20. if its not can u tell me who it is cuz i really like the voice. Is that seohyun at 1:27? im not so sure but i like that voice too. And at 1:35 i think its tiffany. i luv her accent! at 1:42 she says "gat" ge a bit too long which makes me like it(my opinion). she says it like gaat ge. But no one can replace soo young(0:55)! shes really pretty and i luv her voice. shes tall and has the longest legs. this is my opinion :)

Me and my sister were arguing the definition of the title. Etude is french for study but since I play music it means a short composition like Liszt or Chopin. But my sister does ballet and she says it mean a dance technique done for artistic merit. That's why they twirl like ballet dancers in their live perfomances. According to the translated lyrics, its more about acting or presenting oneself. Kewl, we were both wrong. Lol.

it is french, meaning study, which, in classical music, is a piece that is used for practice. judging by the lyrics, i'm guessing their use of the word should be more or less the same
