  • poor fucking guy. i had this happen today when work said some of us stole something. they r pieces of shit and scream at you.

  • if this was me innocent or not i would not do or say shit until i had a lawyer 2 i would just say hey suck my dick get in the cops head like lick my butt in then be like hey u got any real evidence then be like duces im out

  • FREE RYAN FERGUSON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Again, sickening abuse of power. Pinning a crime on an innocent guy. How many times do you have to say, "I didn't do it. I wasn't there." I have dealt with Columbia Police and while I haven't gone through even close to what Ryan has been through, I know absolutely how shady CPD can be, and how they love to pin bogus charges on you. How you could take somebody's life with absolutely ZERO evidence is beyond me. I wish I had been on that jury. I would have made sure he walked away a free man.

  • What a dumb jury selection on Ryan's trial...How stupid can these people be? There is NOT one shred of Evidence implicating Ryan at the crime scene nor were there any credible witnesses linking him to it. How can a juror live with oneself knowing you sent a guy to jail while someone else's fingerprints and DNA is at the crime scene! Bill, don't give up and fight this til the end until they free your son. They should be sued also for ruining Ryan's life, it's just so unfair.

  • He doesn't even show any signs of subterfuge, palms up touching head...nothing. why wasn't these videos shown to the jury??? and why was he found guilty with no physical evidence????

  • He handled himself very poorly... This guy's a piece of shit. His body language and overall demeanor shows how much of a brat he is. If he were as intelligent as you all seem to think he is, he would've kept his mouth shut until he had legal representation

  • I only just learned about this story yesterday, but I am fully supportive of Ryan Ferguson and his family. I tip my hat to his father for never giving up on his son cause I'm sure that is helping keep Ryan strong. Situations like this are the exact reason I will never trust the police or any type of law enforcement at all. I pray for the best outcome for Ryan. I also hope the sorry ass detectives in Columbia get off theirs butts and find the real killer, they've already wasted enough time.

  • Free this guy, hate cops that push on the conviction of a innocent person and till this day ill never confess to something I never did!!!! "FREE RYAN!!!"

  • I've been through this bullshit before but it was on a first degree charge that I had no involvement with!!! I took a plea to get it dropped to a third degree misdemeanor because the cops kept telling me I had to be involved since there was so many witnesses. I was jumped by the people who got hurt and when I took off and came back the crime already happen! For some reason I was pointed out to be there because I sat with the guy who was bleeding from his eye and the cops and ambulance came! BS

  • just the peole close to these guys, know if they did it. if they were agressive or were addicts.

  • @ChIkIdRaKulllA

Police arrest all the time that had nothing to do with the crime.

These are just two examples in this area.

Josh Kezer found innocent after 14 years prosecutor guilty of misconduct

Dale Helmig found innocent after 15 years prosecutor guilty of misconduct

Google these names and read for yourself.

    Thanks

  • if they werent there, why they arrested these guys?

  • @ChIkIdRaKulllA

Because Chuck had a dream about "a murder" that he told some friends about. Those friends called the police. Outside of that, there is absolutely no evidence that links either Ryan or Chuck to the crime.

  • Free Ryan Ferguson!!!!

  • wow... this is horrible.

  • "if i go to jail for something i didn't do, then so be it. i mean, i'm not gonna admit to something i didn't do."

exactly. you fucking pigs, he didn't do it.

  • doesnt this guy have a family of something, shit if my bro went to jail, I'd fucking blow up a school if they didnt let him out and ship him to Iran or some shit, fucking pigs

  • "we're tryin to help you out" pigs let that lie fly all the effin time

  • holy shit

  • just keep asking where is the evidence and saying i did not do this. you will eventually get out. of course if i were in this situation i could come up with a lot of really good responses/comebacks

  • How do you know he is innocent. Im not going by this video, just curious in general, I know what cunts these guys can be but what makes you so sure he is innocent? Its an enquirary not an accusation.

  • who is dallas

  • Good old Missouri...home to inbred rednecks.

  • Look the the video Have You Ever Had a Cop in Your Face part I

You can see for yourself Charles Erickson was spoon feed By Detective Short.

We have various police report in which the policed lied.

Witness never get to read the reports, never sign them and never get a copy.

Police can say anything and the public does not know.

Look at what else is going on in Columbia Mo

    Swat Teams

  • Every criminal claims there innocence. You cant just take this ryan guys word. You werent there and you dont know the details. He very well could be innocent but you shouldnt be so quick to beleive his story of innocence. Most people facing a 40-life sentence are gonna lie and say they dont know shit and they didnt do shit.

  • @Gradey3 WE ARE NOT JUST TAKING THIS GUY'S WORD! Have you watched all of the videos? No! Have you watched all the 48 hours "Dream Killer" segments? No! How do I know this? Because you are making foolish comments. Know what you're talking about before getting on here, spouting profanity, and telling us what we shouldn't believe.

  • Only thing is you guys have your minds so set that the cops are at fault that you dont even want to believe that maybe these guys arent being truthful

  • I read about the updates! You are a step closer to freeing your son!!

When Ryan is eventually exonerated I want to see heads roll. I want to see criminal charges heaped upon that scuzzy prosecuter Kevin Crane. Throw the book at him. I believe that he will get what he deserves when he one day faces God for his final judgment. How would you like to go home every night knowing you've put innocent people in prison? What a degenerate is he.

  • You just Can't Fake this kind of confidence in ones innocence.

What the hell did they base their case on anyway.... I want to see the evidence that are sending this person to prison for.

  • @DavySigfusson There is no evidence. The "evidence" they had was the moronic (and spoonfed) testimony of Chuck Erickson implicating Ryan. And also, where there should have been evidence, there was none (like in the alleged getaway car there should have been blood, but luminol tests never found any). That's just one example.

  • 7.13 "there gonna pin this on you; REGARDLESS" WTF Who was the defence lawyer mr magoo?!?!?!?

  • Ryan is INNOCENT and now CHuck has actually come forward and admits to LYING about everything, especially Ryan's involvement!! DO NOT TRUST THE POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ryan is innocent. I cannot believe his family let him sit in there for 9 hours without a lawyer. Innocent people go to prison every day because the police beat them down....then they finally say "ok, whatever you want me to say, if it will get me out of here". Not that Ryan did that, he stood his ground thank God. But these clowns are trained to make you say something to make you appear guility....thats what they do. Everyone learn a lesson, get an attorney whether you are innocent or not!!!

  • @btsforever

The police would not let Ryan call us or call an attorney. We did not know he had been arrested until after he had finished his interrogration. The good news is Ryan never said or did anything that hurt his case during the questioning. Ryan thought it was just some big mistake and he would be going home after the questioning that was over 2,000 days ago.

  • i just seen last month that they over turned his case

  • its really sad that neither kid had a lawyer and didn't realize the incredible threat the police posed to them. They were basically murdered by the police and the prosecutor.

  • Dont worry guys

Ryan is perfectly happy where he is now

Prison is his home now and he has a new family in prison, bobo next to him giving him pleasure from behind.

Ryan licking his ass and sucking him off every night. Ryan is happy. Dont worry

  • if suspects were smart-(ass)--and they're oft not-- they would start babbling (the truth) in an obscure, foreign language and cost the taxpayers more money because they have to hire a translator. good thing I'm trilingual and can do that.

  • is this a real interrogation? it seems awfully nice and laid-back.

  • Real interrogations aren't like they are on Law and Order.

  • i feel bad for this kid but the biggest mistake he made was talking to them and Chuck to. they should have said i will not answer any questions until i have a lawyer present and them promptly shut the hell up. i hope you guys are able to free him.

  • police cant do that! thats lying! they are morons, i thought police were ment 2 protect people

  • More cops doing more stupid shit...

  • is that a reward of $25 dollars? That is a period after 25

  • Actually the reward is $50,000 dollars.

    Thanks for asking.

  • I am so sorry Ryan did not get a retrial. I watch quite of few crime shows and this is the only one I've ever seen where I felt sick to my stomach at the outcome. This is absolutely despicable. I am sorry this is your son's life;( Years of his life he's not getting back. I will keep calling your representatives to express my disgust over this. I also called that awful judge's office and left a message with her secretary to let her know how awful this is.

  • NEVER NEVEr talk to the cops WITHOUT a lawyer present. It is YOUR LEGAL RIGHT! Poor Ryan made that mistake. The cops are NOT your friend. "we are here to help you..." bull shit.

  • @bandman48 bingo. Spot on mate. Never ever ever talk to the police, wait for thr trial if you have to, never talk to them. Any lawyer worth his salt will tell you to keep it shut. They are never trying to help you. They shouldnt be allowed to say shit like that, lawyers should be mandatory not just a right.

  • @bandman48 but ryan wasnt a criminal and logical people think if you tell the truth you will be fine.

  • Anyway, this vein of discussion is fruitless for helping Ryan and his family. Let's all get back on how we are going to help Ryan, as well as preserve the cause of Liberty in the future. Surely this is a cause Jesus would endorse.

One idea I had was to hold some kind of peaceful protest. Or we could plan on a day to have a fast for Ryan's sake and then whatever $ you would have spent on that food could be contributed to his fund. Any other ideas?

  • MM: Jesus was the literal Son of God, meaning that he is 1/2 Deity. Because he is 1/2 Deity, he was able to fast for 40 days, walk on water, and ultimately, endure the sins of the world in Gethsemane and on the cross (plus countless other miracles during his 33 years as a mortal). There is simply no comparison between our Savior Jesus Christ and Ryan. Ryan is mortal. He is born of good mortal parents, but not Deity. Of course this is a great burden for him and his family to bear.

  • so is this guy still in jail for something he obviously didnt do

  • Yes, he is still in jail ... poor kid. Maybe there is something that all of us could do ... we could all pick a day to fast and pray for Ryan's speedy release.

  • thats terrible you can see from the interrogation he didnt do it

  • Also, I now understand why there are so many coerced confessions out there. I always wondered how cops got this. A weaker person would've confessed to a crime they didn't commit or at least have stated that it was a possibility that they may have commited this crime and put it out of their mind. I'm praying that justice is served. There is no physical evidence whatsoever. The shoe print and hair sample didn't match either suspect.

  • Most incompetent interrogation

I've ever seen. It is so obvious Ryan is telling the truth. Good grief, why is he still in prison?

  • This is like a nightmare come true...Free Ryan!

  • I dont know what the cops did or didnt do but crane is an upstanding man who is now a judge we should all be glad to have such a well respected man involved in our community who knows maby he could be our president someday

  • Maybe he will be president ... what with the unscrupulous members of congress and the presidency nowadays it sounds like a job in the federal gov't would be right up his alley.

  • How many upstanding men do you know that have been summons to court to explain two different Brady Violations while acting as a Judge in the same court house?

Prosecutor Crane lied to the jury during his closing just like Kenny Hulshof did in the Josh Kezer case. Kezer was freed and cleared of all charges. Josh Kezer spent 16 years in prison before Judge Callahan ruled Prosecutor Hulshof hid evidence from the jury. Now Hulshof says he stands by the jury's decision.

  • Did you know that when Jesus Christ was persecuted for crimes he did not commit He did not complain

Does anyone see a difference here?

  • MM

So are you suggesting Ryan should be like Jesus Christ and not complain about being falsely found guilty for a crime he did not commit. Just serve 40 years and be happy.

Is that what you would have done.

  • you think your smart dont you. Well your not. Jesus was not guilty and did not complain. Now you tell me is thats whats going on here? MMM?

  • spell correctly and people might take you seriously

  • Are you really comparing ryan to jesus? thats not even fair

  • Look this is a very good looking family and it easy to feel for such good looking people so I see where your going with this. we should all be like Jesus.

  • @TheMoralMajority1st dude shut up. Why would you bring up Jesus anyway, this guy is being convicted of the crime he didn't commit. Maybe YOU should be Ryan and sees how it feels.

  • @TheMoralMajority1st CRANE IS A FUCKING LYING PIECE OF SHIT CRIMINAL THAT HAS ABSOLOUTLY NO PROBLEM PUTTING INNOCENT PEOPLE IN PRISON IF IT WILL MAKE HIM LOOK BETTER COME ELECTION DAY!!! - HE WILL BURN IN HELL FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE TO PEOPLE!!!!!

  • Never speak too or with a cop, EVER. Dont even acknowledge your name or address. ACT LIKE A STONE, take and deal with your treatment from them as they will say over and over that you are no cooperating. Dont acknowledge anything at all. WAIT FOR A LAWYER!

From the moment you begin talking they are building a case against you, even when you think that they are being polite and nice.

  • DON'T TALK TO THE COPS WITH OUT A LAWYER... EVEN IF YOU ARE IN THERE FOR FUCKIN JAYWALKIN.... He NEEDED A LAWYER!!!

  • I saw this on TV the other night and came to the conclusion that Ryan is 100% innocent. It 's totally unbelievable how the authorities have thrown out all facts and evidence just because of one guy who comes up with dream that he committed the crime

  • The REWARD is @ $50,000.00 FREE RYAN FERGUSON!!!

  • innocent..cops guilty of leading a suspect to make false confession. Cop should be suspended from doing these interviews ever again.

  • based on this which is available to the court, sounds like ryan had an incompetent defense attorney.

  • Wait, did he get let go, or what? he seems pretty dame innocent to me

  • I'd like to know what Ryan's reaction and response was in the interview when first told that his friend had implicated him.

  • Chuck was known as a person that make up stories to gain attention. Ryan did not take him serious.

  • I mean, at the moment the cops informed Ryan about Chuck's accusations. It was just water of a duck's back? He wasn't even surprised at first?? He just blithely shrugged his shoulders and told them Chuck is a big liar and we shouldn't take anything he says seriously?

  • Ryan told the police he thought Chuck was making the story up because Chuck kept saying things like; I am not sure, I don't really remember, I may not know what I am talking about etc.

Now we know Prosecutor Crane hid evidence from the trial. July 16 the Prosecutor will be requried to explain these Brady Violation charges

Plus Chuck's story was not logical or factual.

  • @mzuri4u Just read this comment

Last November Chuck admitted he comitted perjury by lying about what he had said about Ryan.

  • thank you 48 hr mystery for capturing on film the statement of the juror that he had already made up his mind BEFORE ryan testified. WOW, so many things wrong with this case!

  • the police acted illegally, something VERY fishy going on here. They will be released sooner or later. Crane says people don't confess to crimes they didn't commit, a professional knows that they do all the time! The prisons are full of them. The facts speak VOLUMES.

  • What do you expect him to say. What would you say if you were not there.

Shawna Ornt the state witness has provided a statement that the person she saw in the parking lot was not Ryan or Chuck. The prosecutor never asked her if she could id Ryan now we know why. The prosecutor is being chaged with a Brady Violation

  • Ryan doesn't show much body language that would indicate he is lying in this video. Also, without seeing it from the start, we have no idea if he was given the Miranda Warning... this could have started out as an interview and told he was free to go at anytime (hence, not in custody=no Miranda Warning)this would explain for no lawyer, and not being allowed to make a phone call.. or it could be big mistakes on the police department in denying him his rights.

  • Its not that the Detective lied, No!

Its that the Detective provided details other wise not know by the public and told the suspect. He provided information that should not have been told. This is what is wrong

Detective Short was caught in a LIE.

    Look at YouTube #4

  • now, not saying i believe these guys are innocent or guilty, im just saying these videos are ONLY CLIPS of the interrogation, I'd much rather see the whole thing without the author putting in his/her "two cents" worth before making a judgement call. Lastly, the "stuff" the officer refers to.. well read my last comment.

  • @ 1:51 in the video, the author states that the officer is lying when he talks about Dallas Mallory claiming he saw Chuck and Ryan.. I'd just like to point out to anyone who doesn't know police interrogation tech that there is no law stating that officers must tell you the truth when questioning you, so there was no wrong doing by the officer at this point despite the author of the videos attempt to make you believe so.

  • I want my lawyer!

    I want my lawyer!

I am not answering any questions!

    I WANT MY LAWYER!!!!!

  • How can the police or the detectives get away this? If he isn't Guilty, there are 2 murderers out there getting away with it. Didn't they get to use these tapes in court? I can't understand how they can make him sit there 9 hours like that after he said he wanted to call his dad. Aren't you allowed to make a phone call, or wait for a lawyer? This is rediculous. You would think if you murdered someone, YOU WOULD REMEMBER.

  • Duhhhh, yea dumbass.......you'd remember.....it's called lying.

  • If you are ever investigated for a crime, DO NOT SPEAK PERIOD. Stare at the wall and ask for counsel. Do not engage in any type of conversation with the investigator. Cops will make up stories and say "We're trying to help you out" like in the video. NOT TRUE! Cops only want to get a confession so the DA will have a strong case! DO NOT TALK.

  • The police, the DA, the Mayor, the Chief, whatever:

The police are commended for getting confessions, by any means necessary.

The DA PRs themselves off based on convictions. They even tout cases not going to trial as being a good thing. Wake up America... No citizenry on Earth has ever had a government it didn't deserve.

  • Cont: I believe that not only have the families of the victim and the defendants been robbed of justice, but so has the community of Columbia, MO, because 2 murderers are still out there who owe their freedom to the Columbia PD and our justice system.

  • I went to high school with both Chuck and Ryan, and I have to say when they were first arrested I figured that they must have just been drunk idiots and made the worst mistake of their lives. But after seeing all the videos from the investigation and trial, I feel disgusted by the methods the Columbia Police Department used to rectify their absolute botching of their lengthy murder investigation.

  • This kind of stuff is really scary, it could happen to any of us or someone we know. I know of another man in Missouri that this happened to, Goggle the name Dale Helmig, this man has served 11 years of a life without the possiblity of parole for a muder it has been proved he couldn't commit. Unfortually we only see what "they" want us to see, so we make unfair judgements based on that.

  • I am blown away by this! Sounds like a bunch of incompetant investigators patching up a case to pacify the community. I am truley sorry 4 the family and friends.

  • Why did the jury believe the child molestor???

  • Cont: I made a conscious decision that the police had finally found the party who killed Kent. I stand corrected. One thing you must know however is that I would never have seen these videos if the tribune had not mentioned on the front page of the paper this week that they where here.

  • wtmas, thank you for taking the time to comment. We are happy the Tribune menthioned the videos. We hope other will watch as well. Thanks for your courage.

  • This story was on the front page of the Sunday Kansas City Star. This site will not allow web addresses.

  • I am amazed that my opinion could be change so quickly. I was there the morning that they found Kents body. I work there. I was very upset to see the police pull into a parking lot I know so well without direction from the suspect.

  • WOW, great comment!!

  • RYAN FERGUSON IS INNOCENT! The fact that he isn't getting a new trial just goes to show you what a gelastic pile of you know what our judicial system really is!

  • So...almost 3yrs this poor kid has been locked in a cell for this a**hole's incompetence! 'Serve and protect' isnt supposed to equate to 'confuse and frame'... wtf??? I think a massive massive movement has to be instigated here...by a huge percentage of the population, (everyone that thinks this is outrageous) to free this guy!

  • Anyone that is exposed to this and is not shocked and appalled is simply amazing to me. I don't know why this is not getting more coverage or becoming a bigger deal. This is something that happened in our legal system and has not been reconciled.

The Prosecuting Attorney for the Duke case got in all kinds of trouble, but that is only because it made big news. It is shameful to see it happen.

  • There are parts of this very long interrogation tape where Ryan is very upset, he sits on the floor and puts his head in his hands... you can tell he is overwhelmed and feels absolutely floored at what is going on!

  • So basically because he was calm the entire time and didn't go crazy that makes him guilty? The cops want you to go crazy, to lash out so they can say, "see there, look how crazy he his, he definitely did it"... the best thing to do is to stay calm!!

  • Anything Ryan says is overruled with "we don't believe you" it's honestly hard to watch that. I had tears in my eyes the entire time. What's the point of the questioning if they don't let him say what he knows without telling him right off the bat that they don't believe it? There is a prime example of "dirty cops". It's disgusting.

  • OMG!! I never knew what really happened, like most of us. However, after this video and Chuck's I am baffled. I hope that Ryan eventually gets the freedom he deserves. And as for Chuck, I dont know if he was involved or not from his statements, but it sounds like they were just ready to lock someone up after all that time, and they finally found someone to pin it on. I am sorry and I keep you in my thoughts. Good Luck!!

  • This guy did it. No way a normal person would be that calm. He's lying. He did it.

  • I am really impressed with the second video, it's a very good idea that Ryan's was put up because this will have even more of an impact. That bald guy must be getting pretty unnerved by this whole thing! And so he should.

  • They are interested in locking someone up, regardless of whether or not they are innocent and there is nothing implicating them..

  • Yes, Ryan is a very calm and rational person. He knew what these cops were trying to do by using their different interroation tactics. He wasn't about to admit to anything he had no involvement in! Unfortunatley, some people do give up and admit to guilt when they are innocent...this comes out later when they are exonerated. Like so many other cases, these cops are not interested in hearing the truth.

  • Ryan never waivers, after hours of intense questioning and accusation, and LIES, he remains calm -- the cops don't want to hear what he is trying to tell them!

  • Ryan does not waiver, after hours of intense questioning and implications from these cops, he remains calm.

  • Judge Roper had NEVER issued a bail greater then $1,000,000 or she would not offer bail one or the other. But for Ryan she issued a $20,000,000 bail, the highest bail in the History of the USA. We would like to know why?

  • These are video clips of Ryan's interrogration on the day of his arrest March 10, 2004.

Another Tuesday has come and gone still no word on Ryan's appeal. It's been eight and a half months.
