  • Yo you think that car is so bad ass........lets see you drift that thing....LOL j/k that ride is sweet I just wanted to stir up the classic lovers. Again very nice ride!

  • Nice work and I like the sound of the engine, shame about the music drowning out the engine noise at the end but I like these old American classics.

  • What is the song that is playing in the background?

  • My dad just got one from some teen who got it from his dead relative and sold it to my dad for 500$ is that a good deal?

  • @mucciardi73 could be, it kinda depends on the condition and complete-ness of the car. what the car like?

  • @sk8mcawsome well, it has all the parts and its a lil rusted on the bumper. all thats wrong is that a couple of things in it are loose and idk what this means but my dad says its frozen.

  • @mucciardi73 hmm, well dont get me wrong it's a beautiful car, looks, sounds, everything is perfect! but thats odd that you say frozen. haha, i might be mixed up, but in my expieriance whenever i hear a car is frozen that usually applies to the motor being locked up. this video is from a couple years ago, does it still run?

  • when you painted the dash did you remove the dash from the car and spray it or did you just mask it and spray it in the car?

  • Looks good, keep up the good work. I'm searching for one myself.

  • yeah, those chevy straight 6's are great. i have the original 6 in my '55 and that thing can really take a beating. they're fun motors.

  • looks great man. all it needs now is some wide whites :)

  • Cool car. I have a 1953 210. I'm in Salem. Shoot me an email if you want compare cars.

  • Damn sweet Chevy! Not over the top, just right.... I'm wondering though, who's playing?

  • my dad has that same car

  • bill cosby said it was the UNCOOLEST sounding car in the world.

  • Not sure what all the argument is about. That's what a pre '54 235 looks like. They didn't switch to the 'modern' valve cover with the 4 screws until '54. They had the 235 in them for a couple years before '54. I know '53's have them ( full pressure w/powerglide and a babbit beater version with the stick shift ).

  • where did you get your restoration parts

  • was the electrical system converted to 12 volt with an altenator... those headlights look very bright

  • thats not a 235 thats a 216

  • it doesn´t need more it´s a beauty! not like gay hopper cars with oversized wheels, purple paintjob and stuff like that...

  • @bomba50 first of all its valve cover. theres only one. its a stright 6

  • There aint nuth'n like the old school ... great set of wheels

  • looks more like a mild mild custom than a rod.

  • how fast have u had it up to

  • i have a 100% original '52 Styleline Deluxe Convertible. it has a little over 87,000 miles on it (which for an original motor in this car is excellent) and it even still has the original owners manual and inspection certifications in the glove box.

  • If the engine is the the one it came with in 52 with power glide it is a 235 but not all of then some were 216

  • traditional rod except for power brakes

  • Nice ride, hey my sis has a 51 Deluxe how hard was it to covert yours to a 12 volt and to add the power brakes. Also what did that cost you to do that?

  • I love how them old cars sway when you make a turn in them!

  • WOW i hope that turns out for you :]

  • Now that's cool!

  • gorgeous car man, i just scored a 52 deluxe myself.

  • ´PARABENS PELO SEU CHEVY.´

  • Yup! 'Bomba50" is right! that is a 216! dont matter if that motor came from a truck or car! the 235 has 4 bolts holding down the valve cover! not two studs!

Clean car though! but still none does bombas better then my chicano's !

    Que' No ??I

  • It is actually a 235. You cannot tell by the valve cover, earlier 235's had the centerbolt valve cover. Its the side covers that tell you 216 vs. 235. If the side cover goes up to the valve cover, it's a 216. If it stops under the sparkplugs, like his motor does, it's a 235.

  • You guys are fools, thats it clearly a 235, i got one. and i have that valve cover. the mans right aint no 216 with power glide.

  • @Creeper613 You're wrong , they looked like a 216 but in the early 50 the 2 ton truck was a 235 with on rod bearing.

  • Nice car, the black silver and red look great together.

  • Dude that looks sweet, keep her clean.

  • i am sorry to let you know thats not a 235, thats a 216 chevy u can tell by the valve covers

  • Its actually a 1954 GMC truck 235. There is a serial number and we have looked it up many times. With the powerglide transmission they NEVER had a 216, would be to underpowered. I know that its a 235.

  • @rockabillyshaun first of all its valve cover. theres only one. its a stright. enough said

  • @rockabillyshaun i looked it up and gmc has a 302 that looks like a 216 so maybe its a 302

  • @bomba50 first of all its valve cover. theres only one. its a stright 6 now shut your mouth before i put my striaght eight in it.

  • Very nice. I'm currently restoring/mod'ing a '49 Chev Sedan. Not sure if I'm going to keep the 235 & 3 on the tree or V8 it. We'll see. Need to get my '55 Buick done first.

Love the car! Those are timeless... I'll bet you get thumbs up wherever you go! Great job.. very nice!

  • hey how did u convert the 6 volt battery system into a 12 volt did u have to modify any wiring and i also wanted to know how did u switch the braking system...I just got a 1950 pontiac chieftain and i have the straight 8 engine your info will be much appreciated

  • she looks nice

  • biged2186 needs to rethink before he talks. my 53 motor is 235. not 216

  • I had a 51 deluxe 235 powerglide, it needed the bigger motor too. That 235 was a little sluggish, but you could do 80 if you wanted to live on the edge.

  • maybe im mistaken but its still a straight six.........it has no frigin power...they top out at sixty mile an hour

  • Oh no way man the 6's have plenty of power, go do some research, thats what the first corvettes had in them! They're plenty fast.

  • rebuilt the 235 in my 59' apache strong as an ox, sweet car man!!

  • I'm actually planning on rebuilding it next month. Any tips or advice you could give me?

  • just to do your homework when replacing parts, don't spend too much if you don't have to, mine is bored out .60 over with a rebuilt one barrel, tuned the lifters perfectly enough, if you do it right, you can almost make the lifters silent, also comverted mine to 12volt aswell, and once it's all said and done, she'll run forever

    goodluck!

  • min has a 216 and my paw paw's 53 has a 216 and it has power glide

  • Optional for $159 on DeLuxe models only, Powerglide operated through only a single speed unless the driver selected "Low" range manually. In theory, the torque converter's variable ratios would meet all driving needs. Besides, cars with Powerglide carried a stronger (105-horsepower) and larger (235.5 cubic inch) six-cylinder engine, with hydraulic lifters and a higher-lift cam.

  • if it has the original motor it isnt a 235 it is a 216. chevy didnt come out with 235 until 1955. i have a 1952 chevy 3 speed flu flame six 216

  • The models with the powerglide had a 235.

  • My dad recently bought a 1952 chevy styline deluxe, 4 door. We are in the process of restoring it right now.

  • cool, do you have any pics yet?

  • Awesome car! It's like a tank!

My grandpa had one and was with

him when he bought it used from

    a farmer in PA.
