I support her all the way, but she sounds so stressed out. I'm not disappointed in her at all. I can't believe that the 2 people below me have said what they did. I think that she's pinning a lot more on this album than what she's letting on (i.e.: that it's just another experimental album like Exodus was). She's such an amazing artist. She's pushing herself because she wants to prove that she's dedicated to her work, I think, and that she's worth her record sales.

actually she wrote all her songs and made the melody for this album the sounds/instrumentation however are handled by stargate and tricky with little inputs from her.... and why are you disappointed? If your a fan, you should know that she started her career very mainstream sounding or as you called it "commercialized" remember her album first love and distance?... shes just going back to basics or her old roots..... and it's just one song not the whole album

I was looking forward to seeing her at Ala Moana Shopping Center at this Saturday's CD signing, 5/16. She was going to also show up at Level 4, the dance club at the Royal Hawaiian. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin said that she got sick and cancelled her appearances here. I hope she gets better soon and comes to Hawaii.

utada is so good! but her new stuff just isn't as good as her old stuff. This Is The One is certainly not the one. at least for me it isn't. and normally she sounds really, really good live, but this wasn't that good. :/ I think her best song on the album is Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence, but everything else is just mediocre. :/ I hope she makes another english album with more meaningful lyrics and better music.

No she's not always sick with something....those are people who are making excusese for Hikki. For reals though...her condition that she has is a serious one...she's had this problem before. It takes a long time to recover. No singing for her or she can damage her vocals. Now I rather her not sing for a while than to damage it and to "never" be able to sing again.

yeah she did mention on her blog before that she easily get sick, so hikki is indeed the sickly type, and she has a recurring case peritonsilitis that's why her vocals gets screwed up every time she gets tired and her immunity goes low that's when her tonsilitis occur it happens atleast twice a year as she mentioned...

Poor Utada!! I saw her at Sephora in Miami and I've been following her schedule for that week! Day after day after day, she's been going to multiple events and then having to run to the airport to travel half way across America just to make her next events! I'm sure the jet lag had an impact on her performance too. There's also a rumor that she was very sick during her Utada United concert due to some sort of wood (?) allergy and hasn't fully recovered since she strained herself to perform...
