It has been proven through various studies that black people and other minorities have a 76% higher chance of committing a crime 28% of which involve someone dieing. If the cops were to profile by race, i think the world would be a safer place because then the cops, and community, would know what certain behavior to expect from a certain race and how to respond to it

Well there have been times where I felt that I had been pulled over because I was young. But the thing I try to remember is that police have a very dangerous and undesirable job. Well there have been times where I felt that I had been pulled over because I was young. But the thing I try to remember is that police have a very dangerous and undesirable job. Maybe if they come off as rude it's because they know that as any moment they may be in the fight of their lives. And in some countries you may be allow to debate the cops because said county is so politically correct they are more concerned about not offending some one rather then protecting the community.

What is wrong with you? Racial profiling is a way to successfully find criminals. Most crimes are commented by a specific race, and yeah that's true. Who the hell started 9/11? How about Middle Eastern people, so suspecting something that is obviously out of context in the normal neighborhood would be in the cops right. So how about next time, don't look so suspicious. Because trust me, if you looked like that trying to get through airport security, you might have had bigger problems.

The disproportionate number of black people in the criminal justice system is deeply rooted in historical, social, political and economical reasons. They also feature heavily on the death row. Think discrimination and suppression. 9/11 is just one case, and an exceptional one. You cannot tar all middle east people with the same brush.

If you are black or brown in Britain, you are seven times more likely to be stopped and searched. It makes a lot of ethinic groups very angry, especially if they are already poor and deprived. It turns them to extremism and crimes of destruction. They can also see that white criminals are less suspected, have better lawyers, family connections etc. Bush and Blair are white terrorists in Iraq, should we "racial profile" all white folks? What about white collar crimes by mostly whites?

But I did mention that I LOOKED like a foreign dude in my getup and my neighborhood is a nice, mostly white place. So anything "OUT OF THE USUAL" is suspect. That's my take on the racial profiling. If upi are black and drive a flash, I guarantee that the bobbies in Britain will pull you over. The Member of Parliament Diane Abbott's brother (a nuclear engineer) suffered the fate as have countless other young black man. Racism is institutional in the British Police force (McPherson Report on Stephen Lawrence murder,) those cops don't have to say anything, they just stop and search and arrest you if they don't like the look of you.

OK, the way you dress sometimes do define one's racial group eg. the sari, burka, muslim headscarf, the bling bling look favoured by some young blacks. Also, if you are poorly dressed AND say Chinese in a white area, you will be treated like a maid. We "racial profile" people all the time. It is composed of many factors: occupation, money, skin color, way of speech and manner, vehicle, home address etc.
