@Shadi1007 that dhikr was reciting Quran or praying or reading duas from the sunnah. Not waving their head from left to right as we were taught when I was a deobandi chanting "Allah hu" and ending up barking "hu hu hu" only. Ibn Taymiyyah and the scholars before him never did that tasawuf.
@shoaibhussain Find durud for me in the Quran - also while you are at it - find the method of Tasbih, and the Atthiyaat. These are all dhikr and absent from the Quran. The word Allah is in the Quran so is Hu. Do not Hufaaz move back and forth when reciting in Taraveeh? And since when is it forbiden to move back and forth?

Salaam alaikum, it is sunnah to over looks faults and make excuses for what we percieve to be wrong behavior, it is the way of shaytan to try and find fault with others when we ourselves are covered in sin. When we see muslims singing the praises of their Lord we humble ourselves and join in to recieve Allah's blessings. Shaytan whispers in our hearts to prevent us from doing so by saying this is not right, what he is doing is wrong, be aware and don't fall into this trap.
I understand that there is an opinion that bowing as a form of respect to one another is permissible - but prostration? No. I don't think he kissed his hand nor even his feet in this video. So it definitely appears to be some kind of prostration, either that or he was kissing the mat. I think some explanation should be in order, and I ask this as a question for clarification and not as an attack.

exactly ! its only limited to the Prophet (SAW) because he had Barakah when he was alive but now that he has passed on no-one should kiss anyone else's feet. In the arabic culture if I'm not mistaken, it is considered a sign of respect to kiss your mother's hand out of love, but that is a completely different issue.

wow I remember when i was sufi and I met Nazim Haqqani and Hisham Kabbani in Fention MI back in 1998. That was when I was exposed to the true reality of Sufism and they exposed the shirk they had. I wonder if they still order to people to go sit in the fake maqam of Abdullah Dagastani in the corner of the property. Please read Mercy Oceans and see the shirk in it, or even the "Golden chain of the naqsbhandi order" . It is full of shirk Authubillah. May Allah protect us from such evils. Ameen
There is a chapter in the book "al-Adab al-Mufrad" by Imam Bukhari which contains the ahadiths of Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh) which states that sahaba (the companions) of Rasoolallah (pbuh) used to kiss the feet of Rasoolallah (pbuh) yet another chapter that contains ahadiths which state that sahaba used to kiss the hands of Rasoolallah (pbuh). Most of these ahadith are also contained in Saha Sitta (the most authentic six books of Hadith).

This type of "Islamic" practise whereby an individual bows his head at the feet of the leader, is defined as shirk. Hence ascribing partners to Allah. Therefore it cannot be described as Islam.
Salaam My friends! I have a question..my family comes from practicing Qadriyya Sufis, but im trying to learn about the other Tariqa's out there...Is Sheikh Kabbani the leader of the Naqshbandi? I believed it was Sheikh Nazim? Are they from two opposing schools within the Naqshbandi-Haqqani?

Zakir Naiks speeches r amazing, if u like him, I recommend shaykh yasir qadhi...a very learned individual. This was never an act permitted by Allaah. Nor was it commanded by the Prophet on whom be peace, and he never practised it and neither did the following righteous generations.
Ibn `Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) reported that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked: "What are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "The circles of dhikr. There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of dhikr, and when they find them they surround them closely."
Did people try to twirl in the first place in front of the Prophet SAWS for him to never allow it? How do you know he wouldn't allow it? No form of 'ibaadah that isn't explicitly haraam, can be haraam.
He never did it himself, but then again, he never instated communal Taraaweeh prayers, but Umar (RA) did. Did Umar commit a bid'ah, and is he condemned to hell now because the Prophet SAWS never led a waajib communal taraawih?

With the incident with 'Umar, this had an origin, it was something practised by Rasoolullaah on whom be peace, so it has an origin.
This issue however has no basis, swaying and twirling around, this is not from the teachings of the messenger of Allaah peace be upon him, nor was it practised by the companions.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that every innovated kind of worship would be rejected and thrown back at the one who does it, no matter what it is. He said: Every action that is not in accordance with this matter of ours [i.e., Islam] will be rejected. Narrated by Muslim, 1718, from the hadeeth of Aaishah (may Allaah be pleased with her).

my take to it is that.. he was performing sujud as a form of respect. Rather than worshipping the sheikh.
For instance, when shaytan asked for forgiveness from Allah, it was ordered upon them to sujud to the grave of Prophet Adam a.s. To which shaytan declined.
So this sujud done, isnt really meaning to worship Prophet Adam a.s but rather as a form of respect.

salam i am a mureed inshallah, this is not sajud he kissed his bleedsed body this happens all the time, many people take it as they are doing sajud but if u see closely this is not sajud, when prophet s.a.w used to meat people , they used to kiss his feet he head his knees his chest his arms. it a sign of love.

The "proof" you mention says that they kissed the prophet's hands and feet when they realized he was truly the prophet of Allah. This does not mean that you or anyone should be kissing the feet of anyone or prostrating yourself to anyone. By this action you are saying that this person is also a prophet.

Bukhari in al-Adab al-mufrad also relates with a sound chain that Suhayb the freedman of al-`Abbas saw Sayyidna `Ali kiss the hand and feet of the Prophet's uncle al-`Abbas and said to him: "O Uncle! Be pleased with me." al-Muqri' also narrates it through Sulayman ibn Ayyub and through a third chain from his shaykh al-Tahawi in al-Rukhsa fi taqbil al-yad (p. 73 #13, p. 76 #15). this is imam bukhari, who made sahih bukhari, if your going to say its wrong, are you saying imam bukhari is rong

@Shadi1007 that dhikr was reciting Quran or praying or reading duas from the sunnah. Not waving their head from left to right as we were taught when I was a deobandi chanting "Allah hu" and ending up barking "hu hu hu" only. Ibn Taymiyyah and the scholars before him never did that tasawuf.

The word Allah is in the Quran so is Hu. Do not Hufaaz move back and forth when reciting in Taraveeh? And since when is it forbiden to move back and forth?

Salaam alaikum, it is sunnah to over looks faults and make excuses for what we percieve to be wrong behavior, it is the way of shaytan to try and find fault with others when we ourselves are covered in sin. When we see muslims singing the praises of their Lord we humble ourselves and join in to recieve Allah's blessings. Shaytan whispers in our hearts to prevent us from doing so by saying this is not right, what he is doing is wrong, be aware and don't fall into this trap.

I understand that there is an opinion that bowing as a form of respect to one another is permissible - but prostration? No. I don't think he kissed his hand nor even his feet in this video. So it definitely appears to be some kind of prostration, either that or he was kissing the mat. I think some explanation should be in order, and I ask this as a question for clarification and not as an attack.

Love and a greater awareness of one another's hearts, minds and needs come from these observances. There is a teaching attributed to Isa/Jesus, let the one without sin cast the first stone. exactly ! its only limited to the Prophet (SAW) because he had Barakah when he was alive but now that he has passed on no-one should kiss anyone else's feet. In the arabic culture if I'm not mistaken, it is considered a sign of respect to kiss your mother's hand out of love, but that is a completely different issue.

ATleast before when I use to sit with they, they never danced, nor did they have mixed gatherings. Now they are dancing and mixing with women. Authubillah. They way they are singing, dancing, and free mixing, reminds me of how churches look. How can this be Islam? The sahabas never sat in such way. wow I remember when i was sufi and I met Nazim Haqqani and Hisham Kabbani in Fention MI back in 1998. That was when I was exposed to the true reality of Sufism and they exposed the shirk they had. I wonder if they still order to people to go sit in the fake maqam of Abdullah Dagastani in the corner of the property. There is a chapter in the book "al-Adab al-Mufrad" by Imam Bukhari which contains the ahadiths of Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh) which states that sahaba (the companions) of Rasoolallah (pbuh) used to kiss the feet of Rasoolallah (pbuh) yet another chapter that contains ahadiths which state that sahaba used to kiss the hands of Rasoolallah (pbuh). Most of these ahadith are also contained in Saha Sitta (the most authentic six books of Hadith).
May Allah guide us towards the right path.

Aleykoum Salam , as far as I know (I am not Naqshbandi) it is still Sheikh Nazim who is the Sheikh of the Naqshbandiya.
But sometimes, you can have more than one people called Sheikh within a tariqa, but with a precise "hierarchy". :)
Then, I didn't know there was antagonism between some tariqas :'( that's sad news.

Zakir Naiks speeches r amazing, if u like him, I recommend shaykh yasir qadhi...a very learned individual. Did people try to twirl in the first place in front of the Prophet SAWS for him to never allow it? How do you know he wouldn't allow it? No form of 'ibaadah that isn't explicitly haraam, can be haraam.
He never did it himself, but then again, he never instated communal Taraaweeh prayers, but Umar (RA) did. Did Umar commit a bid'ah, and is he condemned to hell now because the Prophet SAWS never led a waajib communal taraawih?

With the incident with 'Umar, this had an origin, it was something practised by Rasoolullaah on whom be peace, so it has an origin.
This issue however has no basis, swaying and twirling around, this is not from the teachings of the messenger of Allaah peace be upon him, nor was it practised by the companions.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that every innovated kind of worship would be rejected and thrown back at the one who does it, no matter what it is. come on guys you can CLEARLY see that he did not do sajda (FOR SAJDA YOU NEED TO HAVE WORSHIP INTENTION, OTHERWISE SAJDA IS JUST EXERCISE)but kissed the sheikh whilst kneeling down to gat maximum benefit from touching or kissing the beacon of light that has been passed on from Muhammad (pbuh) to the chain of Shekhs

also when Salman al farisi converted when he saw the seal of prophet hood he dropped down and kissed the prophet's feet and by doing some research you can find many many more incidents where this took place i remember doing

my take to it is that.. he was performing sujud as a form of respect. Rather than worshipping the sheikh.
For instance, when shaytan asked for forgiveness from Allah, it was ordered upon them to sujud to the grave of Prophet Adam a.s. To which shaytan declined.
So this sujud done, isnt really meaning to worship Prophet Adam a.s but rather as a form of respect.
Correct me if im wrong. Im just giving my thought. May Allah lead us to the right path. Amin =)

salam i am a mureed inshallah, this is not sajud he kissed his bleedsed body this happens all the time, many people take it as they are doing sajud but if u see closely this is not sajud, when prophet s.a.w used to meat people , they used to kiss his feet he head his knees his chest his arms. it a sign of love.

About kissing the feet of Prophet asaltu wasalaam there were 2 incidents i remember off the top of my head once when Hadhrat Adas Radhi allahu an converted he droped down and kissed Prophet asaltu wasalaam's feet this is in the story of Taif

Once two jews came to the holy prophet s.a.w and asked him a queastion. The holy prophet s.a.w answered them. Thereafter, they kissed his hands and feet of the holy prophet s.a.w and told him they bear testimony that he is a nabi. ( Trimizi Shareef; Mishakat Shareef.

you just proved that you should NOT be prostrating yourself to someone and kissing their feet!.
The "proof" you mention says that they kissed the prophet's hands and feet when they realized he was truly the prophet of Allah. This does not mean that you or anyone should be kissing the feet of anyone or prostrating yourself to anyone. By this action you are saying that this person is also a prophet.
Your "proof" goes against basic logic.

prophet s.a.w kissed hz fatimah r.a his daughter every time he used to enter her house, and when ever she used to enter prophet s.a.w house she fatimah r.a used to kisss his hand. i will give refrence. But bro your coming up with some stupid points.

Bukhari in al-Adab al-mufrad also relates with a sound chain that Suhayb the freedman of al-`Abbas saw Sayyidna `Ali kiss the hand and feet of the Prophet's uncle al-`Abbas and said to him: "O Uncle! Be pleased with me." al-Muqri' also narrates it through Sulayman ibn Ayyub and through a third chain from his shaykh al-Tahawi in al-Rukhsa fi taqbil al-yad (p. 73 #13, p. 76 #15). this is imam bukhari, who made sahih bukhari, if your going to say its wrong, are you saying imam bukhari is rong

salam brother first of, you came up with some lame points , you said reffering to shayk hisham his not a prophet so why do we kiss his feet and then you said why should we follow jews, first of all they are not jews but they are companions of rausallah s.a.w as they converted to islam, and prophet s.a.w said in a holy hadith in trimizi, follow my sunnah and my companions sunnah. brother why cant you just accept, is this what wahabis do when you give them evidence they just try to twist is.

the ethiopians came and danced in the masjid, while the prophet SAW and his wife aisha RA watched. u can find this is sahih Muslim. Allah SWT commaned the angels to prostrate to prophet Adam AS, does that mean allah SWT commaned the angels to commit shirk?. can you please tell me what is wrong with kissing the feet and can you please tell me any hadith which prohibits kissing the feet??

La Howla Wala Quwata Illah Billa... SubhanAllah, you are making a comparison with non-muslims and muslims. The ethiopians could come drink alcohol if they wanted to, it doesnt concern a muslim. I simply asked that a Hadith be presented, which allows muslims to play music and dance in the masjid, and prostrate before a common man.
As for your remark about the angels bowing to Prophet Adam, they did so under the command of Allah. Angels do NOT disobey. Iblis disobeyed and was cast out.
