Haha, deafening cicadas are unfortunately a feature of the stifling Japanese summer, and the mic on the Xacti being on the side doesn't do much to reduce that. Believe me, this was the quietest spot on offer. Anyway, go check out the podshow - it's worth checking out and far better sound quality than my vid.
