I'd say this is bloody dangerous. If they want a portable TV in their cars, they should have one installed in the back of their seat - then they can listen and not be distracted by what's on... then, if they absolutely must see something they will have to stop driving thus negating the risk of distraction

This is a scheme for selling more TV. Probably Samsung & LG lobbied for this ruling. We already have these things called radio, CD player in cars. The excuse for having TV in taxi is pretty pathetic.
