  • How much did JUST the aquarium cost you ?

    cause i want one !!! :)

  • @KongLeeNumber1Hmong

The price range from $54-$79, depending on the store you get it from. I picked my up for $71, only to find another store near me selling it for slightly less. Petco is a hit and miss, they tend to carry just the Fluval Edge and Chi.

  • my fish tank has alot of foam because when i add in the filter the water pumps up and goes through and goes back down, which causes small bubbles to form and float to the side, how can i prevent this from happening?

  • Hey there, love this video! One question for you, are the led lights still functioning 100%? I've heard of many cases regarding the led light bulbs going off one by one in a few months time. Is that true?

  • @hihelloabhujhabi -Unfortunately yes that is a problem I didn’t notice it during my last update but I will mention it on the next one. I have lost about have of mine which is sad because they were growing the plants really well.

  • @pecktec It's sad to hear that :( how often are you using them? (how many hours turned on per day)

  • Instead of spending money on this tiny "tank" you may as well buy a cheap plastic storage container, put filter/light in it etc etc, and it does the same thing!.

That's what i do for for my Q-tank. My main tank is glass though.

  • @Hotlips4000isback - If you have lots of bettas and you just need more space it’s a perfectly acceptable but this is made to be esthetically pleasing so it’s not an apples to apples comparison. I’ve had lots of cheep- o tanks and this is far better then any of those. Glass clarity is a big thing for me and the plastic ones don’t cut it for me. .

  • @pecktec how did u add the heater?

  • @noochahomie1 - I put it in the space above the pump.

  • @drychalice Thanks I apresheate that.

  • @drychalice I got it at a local fish store for around $50.

  • @magicalmonkeyS26 - I have Anubus nana and java fern. The substrat was a little bit of the leftovers from the flora and some plain gravel.

  • How much is it, pet smart doesn't have it.

  • Very nice,

  • hi, what plants did you put in the tank and what did you plant it in?

  • like ur shirt.. . :)

  • omg i have the same turtle lamp that you have on your shelf on my bed

  • @iFxWolf - look in the comments for the heater modle. I cant remember off the top of my head but its in there.

  • @fingaboadr - no its very quiet.

  • @phyerboss - I wont add any tankmates aside from perhaps an apple snail. Its just two small its really set up to keep one special fish thats not overly acitive.

  • This came out really nice. Might get 1 for my betta and his tank mates^^

He co-exist well with 5 feeder guppies, 2 snails and 1 cory. Any chance you might add a tank mate or 2 to this setup?

  • is it noisy? please respond.

  • thats great looking tank i was thinking off getting one myself but what heater did you get?? as i dont know what size would fit and wouldnt want to buy the tank first and not find one which did

  • could you put a goldfish in the tank? would it be big enough for just one little fish?

  • @JEKKKKKKKKK no, goldfish can grow to a few inches

  • thank you very much, this was really insightful!

  • great tank!!!

  • I like that little spec tank, pretty inventive.

  • Neat tank! Question for you: The dimensions are listed as 10" high. Does this include the light or is it the tank alone that is this tall? Thanks so much in advance:-) Cute betta ya have there too!

  • @saturnineanodyne That is the mesurement from the base to the top of the glass. Add a few more inches to include the light.

  • @saturnineanodyne That is the mesurement from the base to the top of the glass. Add a few more inches to include the light.

  • I = Fat betta. :D

  • Nice little review thanks! hows it looking now

  • Is it saltwater compatible???

  • @TwichingLobe - well because they are LEDs you should think of them in terms of lumes instead of watts. I don't really have a good answer for you. It is growing Anubus Nanna really well. Because I'm not getting a lot of Algea I would assume the light is not very bright as far as plants go. Red plants in particular normally need more light.

  • do you know the power (in wattage) of the light? Is it enough for plants like Nesaea. sp. "red"?

  • @snowiethebunnie - no they don't have to have a filter. You may need to change the water more often however. Remember Bettas are tropical so keep them in a warm spot in your home if your not using a heater.

  • does a betta fish need a filter in its tank because i have a fish bowl and i was wondering if i could get a betta plz reply

  • Ser u rock thanks now i know for sure i have to get this tank

  • does someone know if its possible to have only one cichlid in a tank this size?

  • i got a roken 1 =(

  • @vogel885 - I do yard sales a lot and look for people who tried and failed to keep fish. The tanks are normally in good shape because they didn't have it very long. Lol I'm at a yard sale right now.

  • Hi i have a question

how does the black foam at the back help filter the water? because the water cant get through i just set up my tank a week ago and im getting fish 2morrow plz reply

  • nvm

  • why didnt you put the carbon insert in?

  • @l3monpig - The heater I picked up at Pet Smart and is actually a Hagen product made under the name Marina. Model C10 10watt heater.

  • What specific heater are you using please? Nice set-up by the way =)

  • @mrax - wait did you mean for the Flora?

  • I haven't had to replace it since I got it. But I only fill it on week days when I'm at work. And u took the defuser an split it in half. So it's been a few months now. The plants are doing great!

  • @ajw807 - Yep it has been hassle free and seems to keep the temp very stable. I check it once a day and its always the same.

  • Is the marina heater holding a safe stable temperature with the tank? I'm curious because I'm interested in doing something similar and would like to maintain a constant temp

  • i like your method of filling the tank its the one i use becuase it mostly jump starts the biological cycle

  • @uneqstylez - I do have to top it off once a week between water changes. I mix up a gallon jug when I change out the water but I don’t use all of it so I have been stashing it away to top it off every now and then. It hasn’t been bad for me I just like to keep it full.

  • Sweet tank.... How's evaporation with the hole on the lid? I live in pretty dry Arizona and I'm concerned that it will evaporate too fast.

  • @reinadegrillos - The Fluval Edge is a neat tank. It’s a bit different than most other tanks, and maintaining it while you’re learning may be frustrating. (i.e. Cleaning algae off the glass from over feeding.) I love the spec also but bear in mind it’s only big enough for a betta or a small colony of cherry shrimp. The smaller the tank the harder it is to maintain. Although it is small, I like the Flora if you want to put plants in also (very recommended) or the Chi for a fish only setup.

  • Looks beautiful but you're an expert!!

I'm going to try my first tank and can't decide between the Fluval Edge and this one..

What do you think is best for a begginer?

  • would it be possible to show the products you used, I have this tank but I cant seem to get rid of the cloudyness and if I add fish they die! (my betta was only 1 years old and lived in an ordinary tank) now im too worried too try again...:S. Help?

  • You have a beautiful home and tanks

  • No I purchased it separately.

  • Does this tank come with a heater

  • @Austin - Most of it is Anubias Nana and a sprig of Java Fern.

  • what kind of plants did you put in there?

  • That a pretty sweet tank! Looks like a perfect betta tank lol

  • Thank you for the nice comments everyone! @dmitrysemy - I used a mixture of some left over Flourite and in the ziplock bag, I had some left over stratum from the Fluval Flora kit. I then put a little Carib Sea gravel (not in Video) on the top to make it a little brighter. Every thing in the tank is left overs of some sort. The heater I picked up at Pet Smart and is actually a Hagen product made under the name Marina. Model C10 10watt heater. It fits perfectly above the pump.

  • Beautiful tank. What did you use as your substrate? What heater are you using?

I bought the same tank a few days ago...I am looking for some inspiration.

  • Nice tank =)

  • Thanks its doing really well. My betta seems pretty happy to be out of the community aquarium.

  • @pecktec Glad to see you got one. Looks good!
