Sorry Gd, but if the date on the video is correct this footage is almost a year later. Mansteins retaking of Kharkov was in Feb '43. These troops are trying to repel the massive Soviet offensive crossing the Dneiper.

it is a good read, Some of it has been criticized for being inaccurate regarding the grossdeutschland division location on the front. Sajer did a marvelous job portraying his personal story even if some is not totally accurate. It was hard to know as an infantryman exactly where you were all of the time.
